Because Eve made sure to say he will protect Adam, I'm assuming Adam got hurt (his leg injury..?) during this mission and Eve was powerless to do anything to prevent that. Which then caused Eve to feel powerless and erase their memories. Or maybe Eve was ruthless and heartless (like didn't care about the other team members) and that caused Adam to try to save someone which caused him to get hurt and then something something happened between them (I've got dead brain.. I said it was a theory not a correct or well thought out one). I think something had to have happened between Adam and Eve (other than the humanity thing.. lol [I'm sorry I had to]) to make Adam feel like he betrayed or did Eve wrong as we saw in the beginning chapters.
But I don't know, just looking forward to the new season.

I'm so glad I'm currently reading the translated version of the novel because this manga is going at a rapid pace that is missing a few of the key details that really make the story, in my opinion. Like you don't see how he got to the location nor what happened in between helping the guy access his mana. I get that it's trying to condense everything but its simplifying it too much, in my opinion.
this had so much potential, the plot was fresh, art was okay... SO WHY RUSH THE STORY??? AND THE ENDING???
honestly after like the second chapter everything went downhill.
I'm so upset that the english translation for the novel was removed from all sites, I was keen to read it before any adaptations (that I knew would follow as it seemed like a good novel). At least now I can continue following the story with the manga... even though it misses the details within the novel.
