I hope everyone is having a good read! I was wondering if you guys could introduce me to any BL works where the bottom talks the top through it. You know like comforting them while the top is clearly overwhelmed/high in pleasure, that type of dynamic.
I just finished reading the most recent chapter of Amber Alert (chapter 56) and it definitely awakened something in me, and has had me craving for more.
I desperately NEED to know the lore on why desirescans, Myth Toons, and Kaizen constantly uploads over each other WITHOUT failure. Every time I go on to check for updates, I get so happy when it says "..have new update after your last reading," only to find out that it's just the three of them uploading the ALREADY uploaded chapter. It's both funny and irritating at the same time
Y'all got any BL Isekai into a novel type-of-plot recommendations? I've already read all that I can find so if you've got any gems in the hiding, please help a fujoshi out
https://www.mangago.me/home/mangalist/2993487/ a mix of isekai and body swap
It's a BL manhwa where both the MC and the ML are half beastmen kinda. MC is on a journey finding a mate when he stumbled upon the ML and has been pining for him since. His family told him to avoid anyone with a surname WHICH I FORGOT but he kept going out with ML anyways. The mc transforms into a cat sometimes.
it's such a mess but pls ToT
I’ve noticed that a lot of the BL manhwas I’ve been reading lately include rape scenes — and I mean a lot. Often it doesn’t even seem necessary for the plot. Does this kind of content actually add something to the story? If so, how?
To put it simply: No, it doesn't add anything to the story.
What it adds is mostly shock, drama, forced proximity and I think some authors use it as a shortcut to “depth” without actually doing character work.
I think a lot of readers like it because it eroticizes extreme power imbalance, taboo, or “forced desire.” This directly affects why it's used: Its presence is often driven more by audience demand than by meaningful character or plot development.
I personally think that adding that stuff works ONLY WHEN it's brought in to show the REALISTIC psychology of a traumatized person healing from their trauma, be it thanks to love or whatever (I'm actually a sucker for hurt/comfort of any kind), BUT it's pretty obvious that 95% of authors add it as a kink. In these cases it adds absolutely nothing, it can't be anything other than a kink. That or, as I saw a commenter say a few days ago, it's added by lazy authors who want to make the story "psychological/dark" without putting in the effort to make it actually interesting and original
any bl recs where the alpha is the bottom and an omega/beta is the top (/TДT)/
