Because the MC isn't a kind person. His narrative consists of an antisocial egotistical pessimistic value. His moral code is not up to date and he definitely doesn't think with empathy like ever!

Well, this author's work are always hypersexual and borderline fetish content but if you look past all the sex scenes the story is pretty damn bleak
He sacrificed his body fighting for his nation, yet all he got in return was praises in the newspaper and a medal which didn't really have any true worth in the end. No one wanted to support him except his wife. He was stuck in his body, his only distraction from his situation being sex, and totally dependent on his wife who was also confined at home due to him. He probably felt tired of living a life so helpless and burdening his wife, which turned into a fit of rage and the need to end it all
It didnt help that it was during a time when there weren't proper support system for war invalids. Very sad one
Im only chap 6 so far but from what im getting, these are children who come from abusive households, who are now murdering random adults bc the adults in their life failed them
What i dont get is why on earth they're killing random ass adults. I could get behind it if they killed their own abusers, not complete strangers. Also isn't that 14 year old head girl murdering other children simply bc they didnt wanna commit murder dumb ass shit? Like, isn't she supposed to 'protect' those abused children. Man wth
