This happens a lot with me too. I’m pretty sure it’s just a bug in the site or something I usually try to reload the page or just wait a couple of days before trying to read it again. I’m not promising that it will help but sometimes it works. If not I usually just skip the chapters that won’t load. Good luck!

My honest review without spoiling: there is a painful slow burn where she is constantly scrutinized while the Duke is constantly feared and almost idolized despite being lower than royalty. It's almost unnecessary how misogynistic the story is written, because she doesn't develop character. The ML has trauma yet he works to the best of his abilities while getting credit. I understand people like to note how she actually portrays a villainess, but a good villainess would be powerfully calculating. She has a good reason to be angry but that's all she is. There's not enough character depth beyond only her trauma. Another thing is how little chemistry I enjoy between her and the ML. I love a toxic dynamic but it's just a mess of coldness x violent anger.
If you enjoy seeing 100+ chapters of a sad FL destroying herself with nothing working out in her end, all the while an apathetic cold ML coming to rescue all the time, this is the story for you. It's just not for me. I'm just too woke and I need stories to evolve from the past
