am I the only one a little... disappointed? about his past? or at least the explanation of it? like ofc it's a terrible thing but it doesn't really make sense in the context of all the abuse he received, I could understand if it was only his father but we're talking about many different relatives here, why do they care so much if his mother died of childbirth??? it feels like something thrown in to fill the missing piece, but compared to all the past and good story telling and world being that has been done... it just feels out of place to me, also I hate the trope of starting this kind of conversation with 'i killed someone' it is SO overused and just seems like lack of creativity... I had been waiting for the reveal for MONTHS and this is what I get? idk it made my enthusiasm really drop... apart from all of that I do still think everything else is written really really well (which is why this whole ordeal seems even more apparent to me) and I love how different Sakura is now after everything.
I don't think we see all the explication and also maybe bc I read too much Japanese Chinese novel but this type of troupe is nornmal people will gate what is different without even wanting to know the logic
