FINALLY Dan learned a wee bit of self-respect.
I agree that Minghwa should just end it here. Then the epilogue will be Dan having a happy ending after grandma dies. He moves on, he will have a job where he isn't sabotaged by the people he works with, he will stand up for himself even when someone bullies him, and he won't take anyone's shit. He will realize that the actual good times with JJK is learning to stand up for himself after the shit he went through and not that BS where they played games and JJK was losing. He will realize he was just lonely and need companionship and anyone would fit the bill, JJK just happen to be there at that time. He will realize that what he felt was not love but gratitude with JJK, because JJK helped him when he was at his lowest. Dan will realize that he deserves better and just because JJK was his employer, JJK doesn't have any right to treat him like that or anyone for that matter. Dan did his job and more for a POS like JJK and so Dan will realize that he owes nothing to JJK, and he deserves compensation, for the shit he went through. But of course, Dan will think it's for the best to just let things go for his peace of mind. He will look back and cringe at his past self, but he'll like how he currently is (he has self-respect and lives for himself) and where he's currently at. Happy at that seaside village he took grandma to. Loving the place that his grandma also loved and finding himself part of a community that cares for him and also cares for in return. JJK miraculously doesn't find him even with all the resources at his disposal. Dan also doesn't meet with him ever again. Dan will only see news about JJK occasionally but won't really be affected by him. Again Dan is happy, he's living simply but he's content with his life.
On the other hand, JJK suffers after Dan left. After his suspension, he will fight his last match and he will lose because of his injuries and his jinx. His injuries won't fully heal and he will never be able to fight in championship matches again. He will be miserable. He'll lose his sponsorships. His career as an MMA fighter is over and he will watch someone else win world titles left and right. He will be a has been. He will try to find Dan and he would search every corner of the earth and use all his connections and resources but won't find him. (The universe aligns to finally help Dan get away from that fcker). He will be frustrated and angry and stressed all the time. He will fill the void with fuck buddies but wont ever be satisfied. We'll get BS flashback of JJK's backstory and it will show that his reason for being an AH wasn't really that much. It's not angsty and it's not heartbreaking. He won't be portrayed as a victim, just a spoiled brat who didn't get what he wanted. It will show he was just an AH through and through and it won't ever justify his shitty actions at all. No redemption arc whatsoever, he won't be shown as someone who loves Dan. He won't regret his actions that led him to where he's at, won't ever be grateful to people who helped him. He will only ever be angry and frustrated that his fuk toy left him. In the end, his team will get tired of him and leave him. He will be an alcoholic and will drink his days away. Reminiscing his glory days. He will be alone in that apartment and won't be able to forget Dan.

The art style actually improved. I guess people are complaining about the color tone/ color grading??? It doesn't look as depressing compared to earlier chapters.
The art is more vivid and not as muted. Less eye bags and shadows on the characters and the surroundings too. The scenes and characters are more closeup, more in your face and not as far away.
I don't see much difference in the art style until I saw it was being argued over in the comments. I don't particularly care that it changed because like I said, I don't notice much of a difference. I care more about what happens next and because I'm reading this for free in an illegal site. So I really have nothing to complain about.
But I do get the point others are complaining about. Although the new color tone is dramatic/ kinda cinematic? Vignette-y Like the ones they do in flashbacks (thats the feel I get from it anyways).
It should be more shadows and less vibrancy in color or highlight (correct me if I'm wrong as I have no knowledge in digital art).
Since the theme of this manhwa is dark, that should reflect in the art - especially in the scenes where there's r@pe and SA. Because in the "new art", it sets the tone that it's not as bad as it looks or that's what's being translated to the other readers. That it romanticizes those themes, when this work is the opposite.

i don't dislike qin mu (white haired guy) at all. i understand why he would dislike nanxing (black haired guy). qin mu worked hard to debut and then there comes this young master who got his dreams of debuting handed to him in a silver platter just because he wanted to try it. Unlike qin mu who had to spend years of training just to secure his spot. qin mu thought nanxing wasn't serious about becoming an idol.
nanxing isn't idol material tbh. he says whatever is on his mind without thinking it through. yes he is cute in the way that he doesn't have bad intentions and naive. but being an idol you have to be careful about what you do or what you say. it doesn't just affect you, whatever right or wrong thing you do, it will have an impact on your group and your company. you could even lose your career with false allegations. the public won't care about the truth at all, when an idol gets involve in a scandal. it's not like the prejudice or misunderstanding that qin mu has over nanxing. it could and has ruined an idols career.
nanxing doesn't even have that many fans that would forgive anything or defend him. (you know those die hard type of fans who would still defend their idols even when they shouldn't? who would make excuses for their idols to cover up whatever that idol did and not urge them to improve?)
nanxing didn't get his career ruined in this story because he's a rich 2nd generation so even though he made careless remarks, the consequence was just the company losing money.
imagine having this guy as a group member, with the belief that he's having it easy all the time, doing things with no regard for the consequences. I'd also be pissed. but this manhua might not be that deep and won't touch on those topics at all. and I'm just ranting for no reason.
Recent chapters has shown that nanxing's dream is also to be an idol and nanxing's aware that he's lacking in skills and actually wants to improve and not bring the group down. he's really just naive. and if this were the real entertainment industry? he'd probably be cancelled already with his personality

and you might be right that qin mu's just taking his frustrations out on nanxing. like i said it might not be that deep and i might just be assuming things. we're still early in the story so limited info unlike the raws where there's a lot of chapters already.
and if you remember the title it's prejudice. so no matter how good of an idol or how hard working nanxing is, qin mu might still be an ass to him without trying to understand him or appreciate nanxing's progress. and qin mu might still be in denial a few chaps down making excuses for his hate.
Yeah, I think the author just wanted to make a realistic character. We all know there are K-pop idols like that, idk if you heard but Mina from AoA was like that, she bossed around the staff, was rude to everybody around her and still accused everybody of bullying her.

i really like this manhwa because the Main Leads don't frustrate me like other BLs do, I'm annoyed/angry at the villains and not so much at the main characters. The side characters are really likeable too.
More importantly they don't portray Theo like other bottoms. You won't immediately think he's the one that takes it. They didn't make him a twink or feminine or just hint that he was a bottom. He's shown as a normal handsome looking man at first glance. Ofc i want to clarify there's nothing wrong with twinks or bottoms. But there's a stereotype or there's a certain look that they're the small weaker looking ones of the pair and that they couldn't or wouldn't top.
As for Seth, this rare Pokemon, this Green Flag. He's part of the really small green flag army of MLs in BL. That's it. He's an ideal partner. Looks and sexual prowess aside.That he actually learned how to pleasure his partner. He's so patient and he really tries to make their relationship work. Theo's more frustrating than him because Theo's not very expressive or good at communicating his feelings. Theo's a tsun tsun. Seth's actually the one to initiate communication or would try to resolve whatever issue is going on with the both of them. I just ahhhhhhhhh. I'm too lazy to reread to actually provide examples. But anyway.
He really cares for his child or would be child. He already loves even though it's still an egg. And he's so protective of Theo and his kid/s. He actually asked the doctor how to care for his partner. Who does this? He wants to be better and actually does the work to be a better father and partner. Because he's already good. Low bar doesn't exist for Seth. He's RAISING the bar~
Of course there are things they still need to work on for character development and shizzz~

and i read this from the very beginning, before takamada became remorseful and turned over a new leaf like he reached enlightenment or something. unlike now where you can binge. so i didn't expect him to change at all. because he was just like those shitty males in h-mangas. they don't do anything good, they only care about themselves and they treat their victims inhumanly. he's a huge red flag, definitely need a warning sign and should definitely stay away from this type of person
ikrr and i remember being so creeped out when I first read THAT scene and even midway through the series I was so sure that no matter how much fluff they add I won't like him but now I keep reading the chapters so many times to see them being adorable and specially those chibi panels ╥﹏╥
