can't disagree with the comedy aspect of the manhwa and the novel. can't say that about the ML. idk what the author is thinking but director guk isn't likeable or endearing. there're are shameless characters that you'd find funny or root for, he ain't it. there's crumbs of romantic scenes between him and MC where you'd momentarily forget about his trashy character, he's still keeping up to his namesake. i continued with the novel until volume 6 and i'm still waiting for some character development for director guk. he's got sex for brains. he's only told by his mother in the latter part of volume 5 and first chapter of volume 6 that he should treat MC with restraint, not act overly jealous and not be horny. well, he's portrayed as an animal - saying he's got good instincts.
reading about him made me reevaluate my taste in literature. because a lot of MLs are like him selfish and doesn't listen to the MC and only thinks about doing it with him, gets jealous easily, irrational. and embarassing it is to admit i did enjoy those before. now it gives me the ick. no offense but it's like the ML in y/n novels or like the cringey characters in the novel by the MC.
all in all if we're only looking at the comedy tag it fits. if you're looking for depth it's there in bits and pieces but it's overshadowed by the joke of a relationship between MC and ML. ML might have a character development or may not ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

to those who read the novel, in this " isekai japan" arc will there be anything toxic, uncomfortable scenes and topics, kind of dead dove do not eat themes- like in the previous arc? you know where this bitch ass cunt black flag PM taking revenge on his enemies and coming out the whitest of them of all? like will there be incest, rape, beastiality again? will this arc excuse the rapists, misogynists again, and gloss over the SA committed to the characters be it enemy or canon fodder NPC? will the girls and females who aren't related to the PM get the worst ending they didn't deserve?
i'm invested because of the mystery this time.
as much as i'm bitching about this story, i do like anri a bit because he's cunty and scheming. i'm mostly reading this because of him and now this mystery that we have. mysteries when it sparks my interest, are what lights my apathetic self the most. curiosity wouldn't kill the cat since it's already dead. i'm trying to revive the cat.
fucked up stuff like that don't really make me uncomfortable. some of what happened in this story made me want to bleach my eyes and brain but it's not as graphic as mrm works and not the most fucked up shit there is. so it's tolerable. though i say all that, i just skip them because i don't forget them easily, i'd rather not have it be saved.
i do know and follow the principle of don't like don't read. but it's cathartic to complain sometimes. sorry if i troubled you.
though, other characters i'm still complaining to the void about.
This just kinda came off as if you were torturing yourself for minimal gains, so I recommended you just stop instead of asking if the plot was gonna continue to be fucked up
If this was just so you could brace yourself, you do you, I'm not gonna try to stop you. That was just my personal recommendation
thank evangel hajin doesn't end up with any of his classmates.
yes I'm against hajin and any of his cube cadets. he's an adult and the other cadets are kids
was about to drop because i thought the FL will be nayoon. she's annoying. though not her fault she's a tsundere. the author made her a that way.
the one saving grace in this is evangel. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~ she's so cute. they should have increased the screentime of hajin and evangel's interactions (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ . instead of the potential love interests ( ̄ε(# ̄)Σ
is it just me?
this manhwa is a chore to read.
compared to other martial arts manhwas this takes effort just to get through a chapter.
Personally, it felt like a chore to me thanks to how the writing uses "slow-burn" methods to drag the plot out.
The romance, the camaraderie, all those things would've been great if not for how it felt like I'm reading a book about a dude looking for his brother while surrounded by wild monkeys.
I'll leave this to marinate until the final chapter for now.
MC didn't end up with Tang Shuo. I'm glad to have skipped the latter parts.
I know it's on me. I should've stopped reading when I saw how he wouldn't leave the ML despite being abused by him. So it shouldn't have been a surprise that he'd end up back with his ex-husband. What's the point of divorcing when they'd end up together again.
Yes, it's an open-ended ending, not explicitly shown that they're together. But it's obvious that their relationship was good. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

i'm fine even if BL isn't explicit or if there are no seggs in it at all. but this is one of the few works that i actually want the seggs scenes to be shown, the other, a kuroken dj with the swallowtail butterfly tattoo
Well, maybe graduate to actually calling it sex first
saw commenters censoring certain words so i thought i should
Probably cuz they’re used to censoring their words on social media apps like TikTok or YouTube
