I've read the novel and this bitch always so indecisive with his feelings, making the Alpha fo all the work to make their relationship progress and work. I get your point but in this specific instant I understand his point. If he chases away the older disciplines in a world where sects matter most they may damage their reputation. And it was mentioned in the chapter as well that thosr assholes are rich and probably has influence so they can sabotage Mount Hua once they are kicked out.
let's see in the succeeding chapters if he will once again prove my point and just be a passive character and Chung Myung will save the day...again if I may add. Just like the previous arcs.
