Girl do you even like Cardel that you want to set her up with the emperor. You literally saw how he threated Cardel firsthand, it was dubious consent at best and you STILL want to set her up with the emperor? Who needs enemies when you have friends I guess.
Also lets not justify the abuse just because the emperor is in "love" (the fact that you won't abuse someone you actually are in love with is another issue) with Cardel, both the emperor and the duke(count ehatever his title is, the ugly mf) can go to hell for all I care.

The emperor is a grown ass man btw responsible for an empire and he needs coaching on how to threat a woman like a HUMAN Being. Also his eyebrows are backwards, the part towards the nose is thin and towards the corner of his eyes is thick. It unteasonably bugs me so badly.
