Firstly, you've figured out what's likely at the very root of this anxiety - self-doubt and fear of rejection. It often takes people a long time to work that out, so that's impressive. Before I randomly quit, I was at grade 6 in piano. This month (after five years with no action) my dusty ass piano once more felt human touch. For reasons unclear to myself, I decided to start playing again. Alas, I've forgotten EVERYTHING.
