I know the male lead will eventually break out of the control and be on female leads side but oh my goshhh. I really want to slap him right now. When tf is he gonna start believing Edith!!!!? It’s just accusations after accusations against female lead. And she has no one to support her. I just want to give her the biggest hug. In my opinion, she needs to run away.
Y’all gotta read them spoilers. I was disgusted too at first when I saw that it said male lead basically rapes the maids. But I read spoilers just in case to see if maybe I was wrong and it says that he never actually raped any women. He doesn’t like women and wants nothing to do with them. Y’all are forgetting that we don’t actually see him doing it with any women. It only mentions that he does in the og novel fl read which we can’t rely on cause when can we ever rely on og novels in manhwas like these!!? Also it’s mentioned as a rumor as well and we can’t trust rumors too. I also don’t think he’s been killing any innocent people. I can’t say for sure but I got this from the spoiler forum. It’s an excerpt from ch. 15 from the novel:
“Every night, regardless of the Emperor's will, the night attendants were sent to the bedroom.
The emperor simply left them in a corner of the room, silently observed them, asked them where they were from and their last name, and then sent them out of the bedroom when they wanted to sleep.”
And just to be clear I am not tryna defend a rapist just cause he’s handsome or anything like that. If he was actually doing it then I would 100% condemn the author for making him the male lead. I’ve read my fair share of jerk male leads like bastion(hate that b*tch). There is some questionable scenes but this ml is not at the bottom of my list of best male leads. However also not at the top.

Reply by @danaana69: At first she is like her father, she totally manipulates Sophia to get what she wants but according to her, it's for Sophia's good.
Luna thinks she knows better than Sophia what she needs, and for her, Sophia shouldn't stay in the palace, she should be with her all the time. She's going to be the very nice sister, who needs her big sister, except that she plays comedy. She will even jump on purpose to make Sophie believe that the Emperor is in love with her (since it is rumored that Sophie and the Emperor are in love) or that he is putting her in danger
When she realizes that it doesn't work, she will start putting ideas in her head using her powers (besides we learn that she did it every time Sophia didn't want to do something at the Earl's house), except she's going to say something to denigrate the Emperor but Sophia knows it's wrong which gets her out of the manipulation process
Sophia will make her understand that she will not leave with her, she will also tell Luna that she should pay attention to her behavior.
There is also the father who wants Luna back because he wants his family to regain its former glory (when you know why the family became famous it may not be the best thing to do)
But even though I know she's changed and will be really there for her sister in the end, I still don't love her.”
oh now this somehow makes sense to me now. I'm still at ch 7 and was wondering why the other maids are soooo jelly at sophia serving the emperor every night, when they could be harmed or even killed during those times lmao.
But if the emperor does not actually do much at them, then it makes sense that they are racing against each other to "fix" him and win his favor (aka be an empress).
Male lead is for real a coward in front of his dad. I honestly am not liking how he gets to listen to the fl thoughts but she doesn’t get to listen to his. I mean it’s a cool concept and all but I was expecting the male lead to be more strong I guess. But that’s just me and my high standards lmao. Anyways hoping the male lead is able to stand up to his dad about not wanting to marry that girl and actually starts pursuing fl. He probably will eventually but as of right now, he’s not looking so good in my eyes.
