He hasn’t disclosed what happened but after the mc is poisoned she stays at the capital for a few days, i think around 3weeks and and takes 5 days to get from the capital to the house. Noah full on sobbed when mc got home and he wouldn’t stop. Come to find out he was crying till he fell asleep almost everyday since she left, she tells him it’s okay and finds out he’s been pretending to be tough this entire time and so she reassures him that she’d never leave him and that she’ll be with him forever. And he gives her a genuine smile. And the duke saw.
That night while Noah sleeps mc cries and tells the duke to be a father to Noah and that she knows he prob has his reasons but it wasn’t an excuse to not be in the child’s like and he told him a parent is everything to a small child.
