While what Anita did was wrong and while it is understandable that she had hatred in her heart for that man. hurting those who had nothing to do with it was wrong. And then claiming she felt guilty when she killed Theor… yet she kept going? Regardless if she felt guilty or not. She shouldn’t have done any of it in the first place. It’s not fl’s fault she became that way. It’s not theor’s fault she became that way. So why is she taking her anger out on the wrong people?
Well I can kinda understand it cause I also love my family. I’d have also crashed out. And the hatred in her heart had no where else to go and went straight for the closest thing she could grab which was fl and her family. It’s still wrong of her to do so. And she knew it was wrong which resulted in fl’s time being sent back. FL can apologize to her but that doesn’t mean she’s obligated to. It wasn’t her fault. If only there was a way to bring that original emperor back to life so she could take her resentment and anger out on him instead… but that’s wishful thinking.

For the first part, I think anita only expressed guilt right before our fl lead went back on time. I don’t think our current Anita is aware of what she herself did since they went back, but I could be wrong.

From what I recall of the novel, it’s actually worse. There were a total of 13 souls summoned to play the role of “Edith”, because the author was afraid of letting the story continue past her main character’s “and the married and lived happily ever after”. In other words, the author kept resetting the story so that she could remain young, beautiful and loved, while a random stranger’s soul got forced to take the role of “Edith”.
In truth the Manhwa isn’t doing the story justice in terms of the characters real motives, goals and personalities. Not sure why I keep popping back, but I think after chapter 84, I’m calling quits, because they’ve missed the point of the dagger scene and are lining up to skip a (granted minor, but kind of important) story arc
