Sure, they were the antagonists to our Luffy so it was natural for us to hate them, they were the opposers to the MC’s freedom. But in the beginning that’s all they were.

Anyone else getting irritated that “let’s play” is almost always a cliffhanger? Like I knew how this chapter was going to end when I started reading. It’s not a shocker what the next chapter is going to start off with.

Why can’t they just keep a guy pure trash without the attempts of making him “not that bad”. This is up there with making the rival love interest do worse things to make the ML look better in comparison. News flash, you didn’t raise the bar, you just dug under it.
