if ur into this kind of sci-fi i would def recommend “little mushroom”
it’s a very different plot but have a very similar melancholic vibe as this novel does at certain points.(and the world building and art is beyond amazing, it’s one of my favorites)
i would recommend late bloomers/perennial species for hunterverse bl. it's gloomier tho.
