It made me feel the same way. I should have read the tags and comments /: The chapter does have a warning, but it doesn't explicitly state that it's rape. I fell in love with the characters, and thought it was going to be a fairly harmless read. Turns out, it wasn't.

Lmao I get you him. Every time a person says the normal thing after reading a rape scene, all of a sudden this community gets triggered. "This is yaoi" "this is yaoi plot" "don't read it then" "Don't be a snowflake" I can go on about this.
Just because something has been going on for too long, it doesn't mean that it is right. And mangas often romanticise rape or show rape scenes between partners when that has zero logic. Yeah I get that "innocent" no the bottoms say because they're shy and embarrassed but seriously fr some people are sick here.

Exactly! The whole rape trope in manga and such needs to end even if it isn't reality, whatever that excuse means （￣へ￣) Rape is wrong period, whether its fantasy or reality and people need to realize that it isn't ok to accept something so evil just because its normal in these type of stories

With the misogynistic and oppressive society of Japan, I actually really wonder what goes on into the mind of the authors of such stories when most of them are women.

However on another manga I dropped, the seme got turned on after watching his partner getting almost raped. The said person actually got trauma because the lead guy was too busy getting a boner. <- so a person replied to somewhat similar to this comment. And they said "

Yeah, I can't even imagine the amount of sick people who are turned on by these 'fantasies" it's sad but with 7 billion people on earth there are bound to be people like that. Manga I believe should not be the platform that suggests rape is ok, and yes I say suggests because that's exactly what it's doing. It's telling people that raping people can make them fall in love with you, and with the numerous amount of young audience, I being one as well, it's not hard to believe that this influences them in some way. Whether it's good or bad I don't think this trope should be as integrated in manga culture as it is now. Even the fact people are defending it shows how bad it's become. And ik for a fact that that the people who defend the rape mangas are the same people who say they support rape victims. No rape victim deserves hypocrites supporting them.

There are some translation groups too acting like people reacting negatively to rape scenes are "snowflake" lol tf. Imagine being termed as a softy because you don't want to see someone getting violated.
I don't exactly remember which manga, but there was this where the translation group explained that the uke keep refusing the seme because its a "cultural thing" to refuse someone even though you like the said person to "save their face" apparently. I'm??!?? I just wanna ask a Japanese person if this bs is right.
