Joel and Chase has been a no no for me before because it seems that Joel just treat Chase as a kid as and treat him kindly because he didn't take care of Jess when his younger but the chapter 35 open my eyes that there's a romantic side to Joel being nice to Chase. If they feel good about each other and make each other happy I am all for it now.
