I stopped reading this because love triangles or anything that has to do with the mc being with other people that is not the ml, specially when the mc doesn't like them isn't my cup of tea, I would only consider reading ones with plots that ends with mc being in a poly tbh. Because I'm afraid of the mc being molested, raped, or taken advantage of others. The ml taking advantage is enough, so why make the mc suffer more with others, right? That's what I think. Then I came back to read this again, because I thought the old man wasn't that bad, he seems to respect mc atleast. But this recent chapter, having that father-son duo in the scene? I'm scared that mc will go through something I don't want him to go through, like being raped, taken advantage of, so yeah, I guess I'm really done with this story if it really comes to that. I'll just see what happens next, if its the worst of my worries, then bye, I'm putting this on my not to read list. I don't get why korean authors always put scenes like that, I don't get why korean readers like that as well. Not judging, you do you, I'm outta here if this one turns into that, I swear.
The pillar falling scene was way more dramatic in my head while I was reading the novel, like how the mages and alchemists was shocked that Cale was able to hold up the pillar all alone while it was so heavy even for all of them holding it after Cale. I guess I was just expecting a more dramatic scene since I came from reading the novel. But still, kudos to the artist.
Yeah, so much is being cut... I'm also upset because I was looking forward to Cale wiping Raon's nose because he cought a cold, but it was just mentioned in passing And Cale was supposed to bundle up Raon so he's warm and toasty while carrying him, but he was barely covered... That was such a vute moment cut entirely, like, why?! The artist could've done this in the background, if it was an issue with chapter being too long... Why cut this detail?
If the more dramatic scenes, the countless more misunderstandings weren't cut off, the manhwa would be more popular than it is now. Though I am not complaining. Just saying. I love how this manhwa turned out as well, just that some scenes shouldn't have been cut off. I hope the dramatic action scenes from the war would be as dramatic it was in the novel. I really hope for it.
I wish I could be as hopeful as you, but I can't. Even after coming back with a new season the artist has not improved their fatal flow - conveying the scale. So unless they hire a team of assistants specialisi g in backgrounds and large scale scenes, I have no hope of the battles being drawn as anything other than: a collection of scenes with 1 on 1 fights; a ton of bacground shots of rocks, the horizon, trees and some stick figures in the distance with large bubbles of dialogue explaining what is happening; just plain old disorienting beams of light and whirpools of color when an ability is used... Oh, and don't forget 70% is shots of the characters talking and telling us what is happening instead of actually showing us what is happening.
But at least the artist is awesome at drawing our beautiful Cale and his gorgeous outfits, as well as our cutie Raon, daddy Eruhaben and others.
I noticed this from reading, but it seems like Seungjoo is so used to people 'serving' him. It's not the first time Muheun took care of Seungjoo's jacket, the first time I noticed, when Seungjoo was leaving Muheun's place, Muheun put his jacket on for him, then now he's taking it off for him. Well, I guess he's a 'young master' alright. Idk, it's just a cute little detail, atleast for me.

Marinated it for 2 years atleast, and now finished reading it! It's really great! One of the greatest football mangas out there!!
