I love we never lose sight of his regression, that it isn't brushed past as just a plot device!!!! Yessss it affects him and isn't addressed just once like a check list. Yesssss it affects him on a stronger level that people around him notice his imposter syndrome or inferior complex that carried on from his past life. YESS YESS YESSSSS
A warning for the upcoming rant:
Sometimes I will read manhwas that forget their beginning setting (like a reincarnation or regression) that in the middle they just add stuff that goes completely against what happened or doesn't make sense! I've seen characters act as if they've lived in the world their entire lives and it was a limited game they reincarnated into. Sometimes the writer will suddenly add in later that the reincarnation's first life was in the isekaid world so its regression + reincarnation..It was shocking once and completely lame after that. Such a lazy & messy move. The worst offence I've seen was a character plagiarising an invention from their past life from the modern world (so reincarnation) when their first episode began with a time regression and had never mentioned the modern world up until then (iirc)!!! I had to go back and recheck I hadn't remembered wrong and was so dumbfounded I stopped reading it entirely, pmo!!
Is it just me or is it getting kinda hard to tell the difference between them, especially when Isagi is in some position where you can't see his sprout. Like i was so confused how the ball blocked from Rin was blocked back by Rin(it was isagi).
I know Barou once said Rin was another Isagi but this is too much, i need to look at their shirt numbers to tell who it is. ( T_T)/ you are what you eat ig
There’s no love at first sight, the magic dude was just really immersed in the girl’s intricate magic patterns she weaved into her dress. Unfortunately due to strange social rules, they ended up engaged.
I do hope they explore more into the complex layers of social etiquette and rules, especially since they made a point to show how all the other debutantes and ladies were match perfect, same hair, same beauty mark, etc. If that was just a way to uplift the heroine..that just makes me feel bad for the other ladies, it’s not their fault there’s some beauty standard they expect to follow.
But back to the main characters, they’re really cute! They both enjoy magic and are just really invested in magic. I also really hope they keep a wholesome platonic relationship with none of the pitfalls or misunderstandings romance genres generally send, and just use marriage as a cover up to talk up about their mutual obsession; magic.

Binged up to chapter 41

Roger mentioned early on that he had a friend fond of the Otis that's now dead, the sin 100% has to be related to that friend. My mini guess is that friend is "Rose", Neil's younger sibling that died before Otis had the Midas touch and what the manor was named after originally (Rose manor). When I first read it I felt Neil may have killed his younger sibling (the sin) as a price for the deal and named the manor after them out of guilt. I'm just a bit befuddled because Roger says he hates the Otis family but other than that I feel like my theory tracks (there's even the fact that his friend was endeared by the family).
Another theory I have but is pretty far fetched is that Roger's real name is Rose and he's actually the dead younger sibling who came back to life to make a deal with Neil Otis.. actually wait I'm cooking something, the roses take over people's bodies. what if Neil exposed his sibling to one of those weird roses, that's the Otis sin then Roger took over Rose (dead younger sibling) and that's why he's so obsessed with the Otis family!!
OMG ALL OF IT, WE HAVE THE SAME THEORY
HELL YEAHHHHHH GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKEEEE ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
I just finished reading the novel and your theory made me giggle
uh oh im really glad you didn't divulge any details but MAN now I wonder if I hit the nail or my head, happy to make someone giggle tho! (⌒▽⌒)/
