The Mc is kinda a bitch. Especially that scene with his brother like bro? You did'nt have to do all that and arent you a grown man already? Acting like a fucking child im sick. I do really sympatize with him but come on now get up and strethgen yourself smh. And why the actual fuck are you not treating the novel world as "real" in the first place? Im confused
he is not exactly normal~~
his way of thinking is all over the place, its like we saw crazy man rambling to himself.
For normal people, we can't make sense of him in any way. I think that's what the author try to portray from his character.
When he came into the novel he try to kill himself and become depressed, easily agitated, and sensitive. His real life of no help in any way... so yeah
Yes I can see that but why the hell do he need to infantalize himself every second? The fact that he did lived a hard life — wouldn't he somewhat be more mature than that? I don't see the logicality of his character at all, in some chapters he would think critically and suddenly he would be in this childlike persona, its like the author do not fucking know what to do with the Mc. He was a full grown adult when he transmigrated yet the story keep pushing this shitass "he's just a baby". I fully believe that author added a fucking kink in this story. Who the hell pouts in the age of 21? The fuck
He is mentally unstable. Paranoid, easily agitated, often dazed..
all this time we read a self thought of a patient with depression, a victim of child abuse, and i think he is bipolar too...
From normal person view, of course you'll think he is weird. Also, if you that opinion about the MC from normal person view, I guess the author success in portraying MC state of mental haha
It's also because he feel guilty of taking over the body of his loved brother (son).
To protect himself from the crushing guilt, he want to be far away with no contact with his family.
If he has lived near them and see them, he will keep on being reminded of the guilt, that thing can wear people down.
He is suicidal, alcoholic, etc.
Not everyone who transmigrated is able to accept things as it is and move on.
If you think 21y.o should not pout, think again. I have seen many double that age and still pout and sulk.
Some people who could not experience a childhood where they can act childish, usually tend to act childish in the premise of the person who is a safe place to them, a person who will accept him as he is.
Mind you in real life, some bulky guy would act like baby every once in a while to his girlfriend that would accept this side of them.
They like to be spooned in bed when sleep too.
Well yeah but again, it was not his fault he got transmigrated... But whatever bro I noticed he got some BPD which thankfully the author did it decently. I still think his actions are fucking ridiculous tho. The author is putting so much mental issues to his creation and does it in a way that its mediocore and cliché. If yall really think this is really a representation, please higher your standards. The art in the last chapters of season 1 is ridiculous too, he looks like a fucking child. I pity the dude cause he's the one who is actively creating his own suffering, hes thinking of himself to much.. These criticism are directed to the author.
I feel like it's pretty obvious why he doesn't see this world as real? He has memories of his real world and literally reading the novel to his sister. He believes if he lets the novel play out how its supposed to he can go home. Because of that he doesn't want to get close with characters established before the novels plot starts. Added to his guilt and emptiness of not being the real character. I mean he joins the story when the original character was already well into his older teens. He doesn't see that as his brother. He doesn't see those as his friends. He doesn't see that as his parents. He doesn't want to experience love that he feels isn't meant for the "real" him. He remembers the father who beat him and the sister in his world who he thinks still needs him.
Plus i think we kinda glossed over that he had to come to terms with getting raped and murdered later down the road to complete his part in the novel.
I agree it was sad to see him lash out at his brother. The MC is flawed, his actions are impulsive and immature. Though his initial distancing was because he didn't see that as his brother. Its also pretty clear the MC has some resentment that the brother is mistreating his very loving parents when him and his sister got nothing but abuse. Plus I can't really say I felt too bad when he kicked the brother out of the apartment since the first thing the brother does after running away and worrying his parents is to be possessive of the MC.
The MC also says there were canon events where his brother meets certain characters. He was scared that if the brother met them too early it could change the plot. It led to his nosebleed and him blurting out whatever he felt needed to be said to stop his brother from interfering. I do hope now that he came to terms with the fact that there is no home to get back to he can try and patch up their relationship.
I do agree the MC is written a bit too infantalized but I kinda cam to terms that this is probably cultural differences and age gap fantasy. I noticed this in a lot of manhwa when there's any age gap the younger party is basically a toddler. im disappointed in how he's being twinkified throughout the chapters since him being more plain was what drew my eye. Im not trying to change your opinion on the MC. Complex or not your allowed to dislike a character lol. I just felt like you might not have understood his motivation.
I def understood his motivation, I was just so harsh on my wording I apologize. I do understand why he do what he did and all his suffering but still that doesn't mean he won't be far in any criticism, the author is entirely on fault on his flaws and the twinkification and infantilization. The story was good overall but how it was portrayed and established as time goes on is so annoying to me.
Apparently based on some other comments, the novel portray him better.
He is less infantalized there and his trauma and mental state are more flesh out giving more depth to his character.
So I guess the adaptation can't really portray that properly...
I also interested because he was this not your usual small pretty Uke.
He was suppose to be this slightly bulky potato type of guy, but as the chapter goes further, he twinkified increase.
But still a good story.

First manhwa that i got myself giggling and kicking my feet Im dead bruhh ts need a tv adaption
