I Don't Really Know September 17, 2019 11:54 am

I don't have high hopes for this, I basically read it just because I'm bored and my favorite bl mangas don't have new chapters.

For me the story seems pretty predictable, I read in the comments that people think that the main characters need therapy. I think nobody would go to a therapist in the story, because its BL.

Idk I have a very pessimistic point of view on this.

I Don't Really Know September 8, 2019 3:19 pm

By the title, you can understand that I'm disappointed. I really liked Hyung in Never Understand, he was such a cool character. He was so loyal to his childhood friend and he wasn't cold-hearted, he liked Jaerim.

I liked Hyung because without his background story you could at least understand him, which is rare for those kinds of characters. I liked him, even more, when he hadn't left his childhood friend behind but took her even tough he knows that she is not a good person.

But in this manga, the author took it all and put it in the garbage. Now we have a rapist who is also a virgin, who falls in love with a guy who he knew like... a week or so? Oh, yeah and now he's apparently super emotional.

Look, I'm not saying that a character cant change, of course, he can! If a character changes that means that the character learns and becomes better. But come on, Hyung Completly acts like a different character! All he's morals and ideologies were changed in one day because a guy that he met.

And it would've been okay if they ended in chapter five. But no, also after chapter five the uke Completly changes his personality.

Anyway, this manga was made just so Hyung would have a couple, what could I expect.

i dont know what the fuck youre going on about but i def like this hyung better than when he was in never understand ( ̄へ ̄)i mean his childhood friend was a literal sewer rat who sucked the life out of him just by being next to him i mean she used him like a fucking ragdoll making him do everything for her, getting beat up and beating up ppl for her when she didnt even love him while he was head over heels for her and you say that was better? got me fucked up my dude and also his commitment to her was so great that he even assualted another guy and almost became a rapist even tho he was a virgin. i literally cannot see how you like that hyung better when it was obvious he was suffering every day until he met woori like yeah maybe it was all a little fast paced but im guessing the author just made this as a short spinoff not an actual long-running series sooo idk my dude i respect your opinion but i cant say i understand it ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

    Mya September 8, 2019 5:04 pm

I'm not going to be as harsh but Hyung doesn't owe his "childhood friend" anything, he did the right thing and dropped her toxic ass, she's not a kid anymore and should have learned her lesson about getting into trouble.

As for his personality change, its been a awhile (2 YEARS) since Never Understand updated so the author probably forgot some details and decided to add more to his character. Last thing, you make it sound like its impossible to fall in love in a week.

!! Spoilers !!

What the actual fuck!!? So after this chapter, the dude with the white hair and the mc comes to the stalkers apartment, the stalker opens the door, punches the white-haired dude and takes the mc in. He hugs him and then the mc takes a bottle and hits the stalker. The white-haired dude comes in and sees the mc crying over the stalker who passed out.

When the stalker wakes up his tied to a chair in his(?) bedroom, he sees the mc on his bad, tells something to him and then the mc sits on his laps (Bitch what!!?).

Then there is a chapter in which the author tells about the story and characters and then there are other chapters in with the mc wakes up in bed with the stalker, and everything is so fluffy and cute, like none of the psychical and physical trauma ever happened! And they blush when they kiss like they just some fucking high school students.

So I had at first very high hopes for this thing, but when people said that they would be together I was so disappointed.

Oh, yeah sorry, I forgot the part in which the mc fuck's with the stalker on the chair that his tied to.

Actually, people if you want to see the end yourselves here's the link -> https://toonkor.cafe/%EA%BD%83%EB%86%80%EC%9D%B4%ED%8C%A8

    JavaLove August 12, 2019 2:37 pm

No, nooope, noo dropping it. I like twists but this is too bizarre especially for a person to fall in love with their tormentor and forget the trauma and fear they induced which interfered with MC's daily life. Plus there was no actual love shown between them, even if it was one sided, it was creepy. If the ending was a twist where it was actually some kind of sex play then okay, i'd probably accept it somewhat but this ending was a waste of potential.
But whatever some viewers liked the ending but I cannot.

I read the spoilers that people are posting. I really loved Kaji and Haru at first, they seemed like a great couple and Kaji was flirting with Haru. I thought that maybe Kaji loved Haru or at least was interested in him.

When I saw the guy who lived with Kaji (Sorry, forgot his name) I just immediately understood that, well... Haru will suffer.

I hoped that maybe it would be one of those Mangas in which the character (Haru) stops loving the second character and falls in love to another person. I actually think that this will be the best ending for Haru, because I have the feeling that no matter what, Kaji won't forget his lover and will always remember him. I have the feeling that he is not fully in love with Haru.

Ahh, so these are my thoughts and all.
(Sorry for my bad English QwQ)

I don't agree with youu, because i don't see what's wrong about having sincerely loved someone, feelings don't vanish just because they're no more in a relationship, he can't forget him, it was his first love, and more than anything, they laughed together, hurt each other, there are memories linking them, and that won't disappear, love does not disappear like that, but it does not mean that he can't love Haru, or that he will necessarily hurt him because of the past, not everyone is like that, he's trying to move forward because he too was hurt, he's finally setting things right for himself, I don't see why this is wrong, or why it can't be him, memories are not a fatality after all, well that's what I think

So I don't like Lauren, I just don't get it why he can't be honest with Chip, why can't he open up and talk to him? isn't the first step to a good relationship is being honest with each other?

LazyBread July 10, 2019 6:39 pm

Why just why?

If you don't have any original idea, don't create characters and some kind of plot. I really don't understand why there is so much rape-in-the-plot manga? I mean, yeah people like it and because of the rape, you can make a connection between the characters and not create any original things.

And why the uke can't stand for himself? Come on, he doesn't even try! Even if your skinny and tiny you can try! Jesus Christ can you be not that feminine!

The seme is also a piece of shit, but I read a lot of rape manga and now I'm angry on the uke and not the seme.

Let me tell you what would happen next, they would be sex friends the seme is actually in love with the uke and will get jealous when the uke would be around the other guy. After this he would rape him again because he would be jealous and angry, after this, he would say sorry and that he loves the uke.

LazyBread April 25, 2019 3:44 pm

Oh, yeah! Finally some good plot with good characters.

My favorite character is the uke, at first, I thought that he was this typical cute and fluffy bottom (And I can't stand those) so he annoyed me at first. But know, when his personality is starting to open I saw that he is not just some bottom, he is a very strong person who can stand for himself.

I didn't see bottoms like this for a long time and I'm very thankful to the author that they did him like this.

Waiting for the next chapter!! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ

LazyBread April 28, 2019 11:01 am

I was never a fan of bitchy uke's, actually, I always hated them.

What can I say, the same thing goes to that brilliant piece of trash. A not long time ago a read about Manipulation, people who manipulate other people are very dangerous. They're good liars, and find the most naive people to manipulate. The person who manipulates always have a couple of people with relationships the first relationship is on the verge of extinction, the second is still very active, but from which the manipulator is already tired and the third in which the manipulator has just begun to find a new victim.

But, this is just standard psychology of people. It would be super interesting if the manga would be from the view of the uke, and if the uke wouldn't be just bitchy.

The saddest thing is that the end of the story is obvious.

LazyBread March 6, 2019 1:44 pm

Look... I really, really love "If you hate me that much." After reading this for the third time, I saw something that worries me very much. After a lot of rape on Minjae, he just... Says it's not a big problem? When I read it, I tried to understand for a couple of seconds if it really happened. The problem is, that Hyeongjo a couple of times, literally raped him. In one of the chapters, Minjae looked really bad, like he was lost and was ready to die at any moment. But when he said that it was not a big problem, I was just so surprised and... disappointed.

here a couple more questions, why does Minjae love Hyeongjo? What binds them apart from rape? Why then they do not go to the psychologist? Both clearly have psychological problems.

    La-ka March 6, 2019 2:14 pm

    I also thought the same.

... Because this is FICTION and not REAL LIFE. These are fictional characters in a fictional world (story). If you want something based in real life - then read non fiction.
In real life the protagonist would avoid the person who sexually abused them, not get involved. It ain't real - perhaps in rl a person could get attached top their attacker (but I'm no psychologist major). But if the author delved more into this, they would stray away from the story the wanted to create. And it would be a pretty heavy drama.

Let's just enjoy the story for what it is - fiction. Wonderfully written by an author who can put their imagination into a story that entertain readers like us -moving us so much that we can feel for the characters (sometimes we would like to whack some sense into them, too).

Ooopsie - didn't mean to sound cantankerous. Please pay no heed to this old bones who is greatly sleep deprived. I should cut down on marathon ready.

Yes, I understand that this is fiction. But this does not mean that rape can be used as the affection of characters and the advancement of the plot. Rape in any story is irrelevant or not, a serious thing. When you write about rape, you need to know that you can not get off from it just like that.

For example, the manga "Midara na Hina wa Haru o Uru", is a beautiful and short manga in which rape is the main problem. Although it has a big minus at the end, this story is also fiction. Or Manga "Bakadane, Shitteruyo" in which there is incest, but the story itself is very real and the victim behaves like an ordinary person.

I just want to say that it doesn’t matter whether the story is real or not, rape is a serious thing and you cannot just be left behind.

Point taken - and I quite agree. Rape is no joking matter, nor should it be taken lightly.
"Midara na Hina wa Haru o Uru", in my opinion, is more deeper and darker than this manhwa - it deals more with child prostitution. (And to be honest, I wanted to castra- ehem... let's keep my evil thoughts in check).

However, in yaoi it seems to be an often used element. Unlike other stories though, what I liked in this story is that Hyeongjo acknowledged it and asked for Minjae's forgiveness - then goes and treats him preciously, trying to payback/repent the wrong he did to the latter. In most stories it (the rape) would have been forgotten as the story progressed.

Yes, I understand what you mean. Forgive me if it sounds rude, (I do not want a fight ╥﹏╥) but still it’s not like that, do you not think? I mean, it's cool that Hyeongjo is trying to apologize, but after all, apologies alone won't change everything, right?

Once again, I really like this manga! Characters are well written and very similar to people in real life! The art-style is beautiful and every character has motives! But this one thing really disappointed me. Because it is precisely this that binds the characters, forcing them to recognize each other and in the end fall in love and be a couple.

I just think that when you write a story in which there is rape, pedophilia, murder, etc. It is necessary, as it were, to adhere to psychology and know what the consequences of such actions are.

LOL... I don't think you rude at all! You're simply stating your opinion, no harm in that - and I am stating mine. Even friends will have different view of things and will debate and squabble - but will still respect each other's opinion. Besides we agree that this manga is worth the read - even with parts that one may not agree with.

Yes... but that manga confounded me. I mean in this manga it didn't take years for Hyeongjo to apologize - whereas in "Hidoku Shinaide" Maya and Nemu were already in uni when the idiot Maya realized the wrong he did when they were in high school. Well - at least he did change and show remorse.

I liked that story too - I enjoyed the character development... and idiocy. And Nemu is as adorable as Minjae.

Agreed. So far what I've seen is MC gets raped a bunch of times and then he suddenly realizes that he likes his rapist? How does that make any sense. The whole time I was reading it I was just growing steadily more horrified at how unbalanced their relationship was and all the raping. Can't understand how people can enjoy this, but to each their own. As for me, it's a drop.

Also just read the conversation above, am pleasantly surprised to see how civil you guys all were! It's rare to see these days.
