I spoiled myself because I am too invested in this story and have to rant at 2am. I'm currently reading the novel, but i jumped all over the place and already read some parts and the ending as well.
Minor(?) spoiler alert: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Some people won't find the sweet relief in the end of this manhwa (if they don't change things, but idk it really depends). I personally have mixed emotions - on one hand I like it, because it really differs from the basic isekai stories, and because it feels more real to me, but on the other hand, I am not content with how some things transpired (guess I am just soft-hearted) - overall I love it of course. But yeah just wanted to shortly warn you guys about a possible heartbreak if you didn't know and wanted to know. It is really interesting though, various opinions in the comment section of the novel are very eye-opening, "arguing" who to blame and who not to blame, discovering things in-between...it's fun analysing the whole thing and coming to your own conclusion - idk it makes the novel and manhwa all more interesting and one doesn't know what to anticipate. (Inner fangirl's note: Still secretly hoping for more honey (=・ω・=))
She ends up with the prince who is completely WHIPPED for her. He’s so sweet and she Lowkey doesn’t deserve him imo because she doesn’t reciprocate his feelings at the same intensity he does. The slave knight doesn’t go for her and her brothers continue to suck ass even though I hoped for character development sigh
Yep exactly the prince is so sweet I feel a little bad for him cuz he is someone who needs a lot of affection and our MC is not someone that gives it. Eclis (slave knight) ends up to be a Yandere basically, he is the most interesting character in my opinion, because he is not at all what we asume. He is in survival mode 24/7 like our MC and holds a lot of resentment that stops him from ever reaching 100%, but he gets a happy ending (kinda...some ppl dont like it) - he is free...Vinter is also either blamed or defended... because his actions had a major impact on the story and our MC, but he had good intentions... the brothers hah... In the beggining i hated Reynold more but now its the other way around...Reynold makes an effort to be a brother, Derrick doesn't... he has this twisted love toward Penelope and he still blames himself for his real sisters disappearance still .... but in the end ---- kinda big spoiler ---- when she and the crown prince have a child, the child sometimes visits the Duchy, despite the crown prince not liking it cuz he blames them for the way they treated Penny (she kinda forgives them but doesn't seem like it idk), and they pamper her there, even Derrick can't help it and smile when he sees the child...i found it cute but he's still and asshole in my mind
