Does someone's know if there's gonna be some extra after the "Main" story ? Like Kiss me Liar ?
Now I remember why I stopped reading this one a while back (surprised there is not that much more chapters since) ; I feel the words and use of "fate", "destiny" and "love of your life" are too forced. Also the "we've been throught so much together" (??? That kinda a strong phrase for the soft and not so long story we've got until now). Weaving all of that together and it feels like the author got pressed by editors and time or something.
I certainly didn't like the ML choice the first time, and the way he handled things with her, it's a bit of a massive stepback from the way he started to feel about her. BUT, I love the complexity of his backstory with his family, father, and brother. It could be a lot darker, and handled steadier, but still good. The brother backstory was also a really "good" surprise (poor baby). I expected the "father sent him away discreetly" trope, but death and sickness it is.
Still, the ML could have shown a little bit more frustration, sadness, and duality when comes to makes his choice and being confronted even while doing his best to be there, to the way the mother and father talked to him and about him.
And about the MC, she is a lot more spinless than I expected. It's good that's she's a little angry after and comes to apologize, but I would have loved to see her more angry at his sudden egoistical choice. And I do not mean that he can't do it, just that he could have handled it better. (But of course, we need conflict...) More than that, it seemed the PERFECT moment for her to say something along the lines of "are you really going to sacrifice yourself for a family where you always comes second and are never enough ? What about your own dreams, your own life.. what about me ?" It could have brought a lot more depths and developpement to them, her regretting but standing in front of him FOR HIM also, and him, realizing that she's right, but making that choice nonetheless, either because he's used to that treatment, or because they're still his family, or even that he seeks their love nonetheless.
Well sorry, I didn't expect that I'd say so much, and don't get me wrong, I still love that story. I've loved it for the most part until that big "conflict" (except the whole "fate" kinda things; that could be cute and very japanese, but here, seems like... Nearly OOC to their own story ? I don't know xD) and the art is gorgeous! Still loved the characters for the most part. I was very invested in the other couple too. :) and wanted the childhood friend to stay more and hook up with the father ahahaha.
Now that I think about it with that... The backbone of the story, the art, and the characters are all good... But it's like the choices made throughout the work are amiss too often, I dunno ?
Also, don't bite me please. I usually don't react that much to classics shojo stories like these but I dunno... Maybe I'm frustrated because I was hoping for a little "more" while still loving it.

It's not that bad. It's a slow bl since romance isn't the forefront of the plot
it's more so "sad that will make you angry and wanting revenge" than "sad that will leave you heartbroken"
depressing for the og i guess, its not that bad for mc althou his life wasnt much better but yeah. mc is taking revenge so you could say theres good things ahead. romance is not the main focus but it's definitely bl so dw
It is a slow burn revenge story, it is actually good , it is balanced between angst and light comedy
it's not sadness that will break you, IT'S SADNESS THAT WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO BREAK OTHERS

I get that he's getting there a little fast as an Alpha, but for once I love that at least one of them has their head screw on his shoulders right and takes responsibility.

there's no real morality in this story seeing as they both trying to baby trap each other

I'm not confortable with the MC either, but here Taejun is aware he's probably not human either. I don't know, I just find him more forceful and manipulative, and not only because he's the top until now.
I kinda get what you mean. It's starting to turn into a little bit of a power imbalance thing now that Taejun has the upper hand knowledge-wise but MC is the one with more at stake.
