If you don't mind reading (slight/mild) shoujo manga, then I really recommend Dengeki Daisy... though it has some really difficult technical terms in it, the overall story is really good and the characters are very lovable.
Hmm, I really like Iris Zero as well (also, Horimiya!) and Bokura wa minna Kawaisou, Kawaii Hito by saitou Ken
And though not a manga, it still has a nice story: Unordinary.
All but Dengeki Daisy are still ongoing though, so...
I hope you like these or that they sparked your interest
Try it'is long. Ice Cold Demon's Tale. It is one of my fav's. slow at first , but the story picks up no yaoi. The writer also did Silver Diamond.
