The two were in the wrong for separate reasons. Snaky boy really shouldn't have said what he said. He basically just told our uke that he doesn't care for his life in front of his face. It was a stab in the heart for the uke because you know, he loves him. The whole "exchange" things might've applied from the start but now is different. The uke loves his children and snaky as well so hearing him talk as if it's a Transaction is awful. He was rightfully mad, but that doesn't give him the right to say what he did ether. He knows that himself as he reflected afterwards. I hope they make up soon before it gets more iffy...

Han Sekye (ML) is honestly a character who clearly needed professional help for a long time. You can tell his behavior is the result of unresolved family trauma and repeatedly falling back into depression. The story doesn’t try to romanticize that either, which I appreciated.

Woo Yijun, on the other hand, plays a really important role in grounding him. It’s not easy dealing with someone that unstable, and the story doesn’t pretend it is. But Yijun stays, not in a self-destructive way, but in a way where he still knows his limits. I think that’s what makes their relationship work. He gives Sekye chances, but he also sets boundaries, and that balance is what keeps Sekye from completely losing himself.

By the end, their relationship feels earned. It’s not magically fixed, but it’s stable enough to feel hopeful. It took time, and it still feels like something they’ll have to keep working on. I imagine their dynamic staying like that, Yijun holding his ground while Sekye slowly learns how to stand on his own. It’s not perfect healing, but it’s realistic.

As for Ho Hyun (Yijun's Friend), I don’t really feel strongly about him. He doesn’t get enough focus to leave a lasting impression, so he comes off more like a supporting character than a true second lead. Same with Kyungha, their struggles are there, especially with the acting industry, but they’re not explored deeply enough for me to get attached. I wouldn’t mind if they end up together or just stay acquaintances either way.

Overall, I’d give this a 9/10. Not because it’s flawless, but because it handles mental health and relationships in a way that feels grounded. It shows how messy relationships can get when trauma is involved, but also how important boundaries and mutual effort are. Healing isn’t instant, and it’s not something love alone can fix, but having someone who understands you (without losing themselves) can still make a big difference.
