i also wonder if her kidnapper is actually a system... i don't like the "evil alter" trope but it does seem like he has some sort of headspace and different alters maybe? the kind of.. younger self seemed to be hiding from him when she was captive, that's why he hurried back to his place, so he doesn't suspect anything. hope it gets clearer later on
