I actually really liked this one, against popular opinion so far.
Although I have to confess I got scared at the beginning thinking “omg please don’t let this be a cheating trope”, but it was really sweet? They had fears and different points of view, they talked it through, and they didn’t explode in a jealousy fit. It was messy and real, and that’s what I liked about it.
Sure, I love the romantic and dreamy quality of a story. And I still loved this, because it’s a more realistic representation of a real life relationship.
Like, I know he isn’t right in the head but he doesn’t seem to be evil intentionally? He just doesn’t have a moral compass. And don’t get me wrong, that’s twisted, but at the same time kinda explains why he’s so drastic in everything he does.
The thing here is that he’s willing to learn! For me that’s the difference, and even tho he’s biased, any other person could have tried to confront him first and things would have gone differently.
Idk, I don’t think he’s the only one to blame for all the weird rules and the mess in their society.

I don’t even know when all this went weird. It’s just too much, and they’re forgiving each other like there was no trauma involved?! Hello?!
