Already said by people before over and over. Just because she was a slave, a victim of Eastern Empire Slavery bullcrap policy and was abused doesn't automatically make people a good person. Weak is not equal good. She was a victim of circumstance at first now it's NOT JUST SOVIESHU'S FAULT. She is this mess né cause of her poor action, greed and paranoia and she kept people that fed her paranoia.
Is NOT just Sovieshu's fault. ENOUGH with this " WOMEN ARE INNOCENT bullcrap". Navier being professional, keeping a front of unfazed woman gave him the impression she didn't care about him at all. Rashta's facade and faking fooled him to believe Navier antagonize Rashta on purpose. Thus he took Rashta's side several time to get some reaction out of Navier. Their relationship was extremely bad as well to the point they couldn't understand the other and had trouble voicing out their thoughts. Like I imagine he didn't want to directly said he took rashta bf Navier infertile. It would hurt Navier and it was easier to say he had a quick fling with a concunbine... Navier distancing herself from Rashta and Rashta words fooled him to believe Navier was a menace and hated Rashta. They been trying for years for a child and as emperor he is constantly being pressured by the court. That's the reason he took Rashta. If he didn't he would be forced to marry another woman/noble and it would be much difficult cutting ties and return to Navier once a child was out. Rashta also used the facade that she is ignorant and often hated on court to invoke in him the sentiment of "I'm the only persona that can help her".
Rashta is a victim she was already a persona with a mean stick before. She actively harmed people without Sovieshu's knowledge before. The ignorant naive persona she had was fake she created because she has learnt in her times as a slave that she can use men that are foolled by love and feeling of protecting her. Sovieshu is shit but, he had saved Rashta multiple times from her stupid and mean actions in court when she was clearly in the fault too. He used his status to protect her. But he didn't give her free reign and advices multiple times that she should stay away from duke Edgy AND SHE IGNORED IT. Sovieshu DIDN'T feed her paranoia and madness. It was others and her OWN ACTIONS. She ignored all warnings and people that wanted her to be a good queen. If she ignored everyone because she thinks the person who everyone told her was a liar multiple times, just because you grew believing only men that are in love with you and like can be trusted,.... Well what else can others do? She already won the lottery when she got a kid and become empress.her comfortable life was secured too. But by making continues bad decisions, abuse of powers, harming subjects and stole credit for things she didn't do well... She dug her own grave. Livety was also at fault for fueling her paranoia and threatening Rashta's she would be tossed away, which btw Rashta knew she would and agreed too but she's too mistrustful of others that she didn't believe she would get the comfortable life she was promised. Rashta's paranoia that she couldn't control and fix bc she decided to not listen or believe anyone even when they tried is all her doing. Plus she also super a "I'm always a victim" syndrome and does not see any of her actions as bad. And she also has a pent up rage and need to abuse people bc she was abused so in her mind it is fair to hurt the people that did to her and hurt people that did nothing to her. Literally she a tyrant.

Rashta went mad because she CHOSE not to trust anyone and not listen to anyone.
