If compton doesnt laugh it off next chapter istg hes gonna be struggling another decade after that bs. Focus on garams words not this old man, garam appreicates that music exists in all its forms even if he prefers the piano at the end of the day but this heejae doesnt think beyond the piano. Hes never gonna give compton the validation he needs. Also tells u how to understand both heejae and garam, u can never know just one of them, their souls/ thoughts/ ideas, everything, complement eachother. Its either both or none
Compton's philosophy towards music is so stuck up. Rachmaninoff begs intensity, not pure unfiltered hatred (humanely its not possible to feel just 1 emotion to that extent). Sure hatred is the most easy feeling to express intense aggression, but so can love. Thats why its always gonna be a complex mixture of multiple emotions. Its stupid to call garam a traitor when u couldnt figure out that he was playing with the intensity of mostly love and not the reasonably small yet significant amount of hatred he held for heejae in the past.
This reminds me of how the opposite of love isnt hate its indifference. So it makes sense why one could mix up the both, still he shouldnt be the one making that mistake but oh well theres a reason garam is still in front of the piano and he isnt.
I can be empathetic towards compton but u cannot deny that the baseless criticisms and betrayal isnt gonna harm garam significantly as an artist. When you're an artist of that calibre only a few sources of proper criticism remain, heejae and compton in this case. If compton randomly decided to switch up the theme and overwhelm garam cuz he realised theres more between him and heejae than meets the eye. Whats he truly after? To be in garams position? To be validated by heejae? Whatever it is that he's seeking, ruining garam won't bring that to him. And for a man his age this is severely immature, there is a boundary between your professional life and personal grudges. But what can u even say when their entire professional life begs personal expression and emotional presence
Heejae definitely is the core issue here, im glad he's changed now that hes with garam, but this is genuinely just his past catching up to him and harming the one person he loves. Call it karma i suppose

Oh nah...
