Why are the kids born in omegaverse stories almost always alphas?
Im just saying bs but my guess is since stories for the omegas are almost always miserable that same thoughts would affect the kid if they’re omega too. “They’ll gonna grow up miserable like their omega parent”. So if the kid is turns out alpha, its easy to assume the kid will grow up okay thanks to alpha privilege. #society
https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/ouchi_e_kaerou_neko_mimi_omegaverse/ i searched the tag but couldn't find any. And I don't remember if Tadaima, Okaeri had an omega child. Cause they had a daughter.

When im reading an omegaverse story specifically with alpha x alpha or omega x omega or any x beta and they do some gender magic shit to turn them into a typical alpha x omega pair it feels so fuckin odd.
Feels the same as saying those relationships arent worth writing on or arent valid unless they are the social standard/ can produce kids. Its like repackaged homophobia but coming from the author. Puts me off real hard cuz its never the top turning into an omega either, always the bottom even tho they both start out as dominant alphas.
Yeah, I've definitely read stories like that and I immediately drop it. and honestly, the whole omegaverse genre is problematic as a whole. Reading stories in that genre is one of my guilty pleasures. In many ways, it dehumanizes the omegas, reducing them to sexual objects or babymakers that need to be taken care of by alphas. That's why I like the alpha x alpha tropes because it levels the playing field and it doesn't put one person in a position of power over the other, but once it becomes a alpha x omega pair, I quickly lose interest.
I can still stomach Enigma but I fucking hate when they make Beta also can get pregnant like wtf
i also cannot take the rape apologist idea set at omegaverse's core and how alphas who prevent themselves from raping omegas are decorated as "green flags"
um my issue wasnt with betas getting pregnant and enigma being made into a concept is something i dont even consider to be part of the omegaverse canon cuz they want the most masculine and needed to make something up that can be even more masculine like even that is just reinforced heteronormativity. my issue is only when ones second gender is changed just to fit the traditional alpha/omega trope midway through the story with excuses like the dominant alpha pheromones made the alpha develop womb and make baby now. like that is so rapey at its core like why would someones gender be changed to fit their partner's cuz its whats "natural" theres huge problematic implications to that.
if u wanna explore something a bit more grounded and takes second gender and what it means in society seriously i highly suggest takatora and the omegas. its a piece that deals with complex ideas of gender and sexuality among omegas and has omega x omega pairs. doesnt brush over misogyny towards omegas or oppression of same gender pairs, no rapey shitty plot either
Ohhh sounds good do u have the link?
Def agree like “congrats you didn't rape them!” the bar is in hell guys
