Not sure for certain who the actual male lead is, but I am absolutely repulsed by Oscar’s behavior. The female lead even kinda likes it. I’m so disappointed why can’t our female leads ever actually be like smart with their love interest?
I am desperate for her to say no to these men. She has made it absolutely clear that she does not want to tutor. I absolutely hate female leaves that just let things happen to them. MC was a cousin of the usurped king/nephew. Nephew/king was a child & couldn't really hold office = no real power. The state was being runned for him until he becomes of age. The current uncle/king killed the nephew/king's supporter - i.a. Mc's father, olders brothers or anybody who supports nephew/king. Yes - they were scapegoats. The last chapter explains an plot to kill/uncle but that could possible be an excuse to get rid of nephew/king supports therefore solidifying his 'rights' to the thrown. MC is considered a traitor of the uncle/king. He can never hold office, or be a man of nobility despite being noble. Any support to MC will lead to suspicion of supporting nephew/king & lead to his demise, i/a. jail or death.

Genuine question are there any redeeming qualities to the story. I do not understand why she just goes along with everything and doesn’t try to fight. Like physically fight. I honestly feel like I got scammed here reading the story.
She's a woman in castle times. She is literally in the most powerful position because she bangs a dragon. This is literally as powerful as she gets.
So her only choice is defiance. Like she literally runs away in the early chapters. Like what can she possibly do other than be stubborn.
