I get why people are wary lf the princess, what with her/his (their? They feel kind of genderfuild in here?) Immortality and having previous lovers but honestly, the Knight girlie kind of ticks me off more. The way she is so entrenched in her identity as a knight that she's blind to all the ways her 'protection' is useless to the Princess of today. The Knight girly doesn't even seem aware of her body in a sense, when she's not able to ascertain whether she can pick a fight without getting injured- as a knight, being aware of your body seems like the most basic training? I feel like she's clinging to her past simply because she found purpose in her previous life, and the purpose of her present life became to chase what she had before. She could've easily adapted to her surroundings, could've 'served' the princess in some other useful manner, but she didn't- was she even aware of her own failings?
And tbh, I get the princess taking lovers in the time it took for the Knight to recognise her. They had been alive long enough, maybe they hadn't even planned on telling the knight that they were the princess, maybe they knew the knight would start fixating on 'protecting' them and get hurt in the attempt. And the stalker girly and the princess seemed have had a meaningful relationship too. It can't be healthy to just fixate on one person your entire life and obsess over them, over their absence until you meet them. Meaningful, healthy relarionships cannot be skipped even if you keep loving someone for hundreds of years- like, no Edward Cullen, that's just plain unhealthy.
Hmmm, kinda uncomfortable with the lack of aftercare here. Like sure, their relationship is in no way healthy, and this webtoon IS already a better representation, of 'scenes' and the mindset of a Dom and a Sub, of BDSM in general- but somehow the lack of aftercare keeps bothering me. It's not just the Sub who needs aftercare, the Dom needs it too- to understand what they've done is alright, and that it doesn't make them a bad person. I feel like the a lot of Courtney's troubles of identity crisis would be assuaged if she knew about aftercare. Oh well. In some part of the multiverse, this webtoon would have healthy representation of BDSM lifestyle and being married to your Scene partner and juggling life along with them...
I'm reading the novel in the moment, and around chapter 161-170, that's exactly what happens, Courtney can't stand anymore "hurting" Richard bcs she realises that she fell in love with him, and since they don't know about aftercare( and are terribly inexperienced in love) they simply stop talking with eachother. I wish I could tell y'all how's that end, but the darn it scan group is asking for money for the next ch
Nooo omg I wasn't clear, you misunderstood, this( not knowing about aftercare and love) is one of the main plots, the ending that I was referring to, was about the solution, the novel 200 and something chapter+side storys, and I know for sure they end well ( they have kid together), I just really wanted to read how they gonna solve this issue and communicate about theirs feelings
Honestly, I can't even feel excited about the dynamics between the two main characters, a superior who exploits you is really, really not romantic no matter what they do ಠ_ಠ
I swear to gods if I had been the one under that guy, I'd have reported his ass to the HR and then found him in a street with an iron bat to straighten his bent shit. Do I feel bad for the superior? No, being a shitty person is a choice most of the times and people use convulted reasons to justify it. Worst of all, he's a bad superior and I've been around people like him irl, I swear I'd cut one into steaks if I see them alone in a remote place.
Oh. My. God.
Why tf does this even have this kind of rating is beyond me, this is absolute shit. The art style is very pretty and realistic, and I applaud the artist but the story is ass.
At this point I'm rage quitting at ch. 38 simply because Munyeong just pushed my buttons to the max. He figured out Seonho liked him almost as soon as Sepnho started liking him but didn't realise that for Junseok???
Not only did he assumed Seonho's feelings of attraction towards him, he was never honest about his own feelings, judged Seonho on his own without talking at all, hated him for it too?? He himself lied about being in a relationship and kissed the other guy, that's effing more than Seonho did.
At that point, it felt like Munyeong really doesn't even need Seonho for a relationship, he can make that sh*t up on his own too.
Even before they started dating, Seonho was the only one to put effort into planning things, into spending time with while Munyeong behaved as if he was letting Seonho do whatever. He easily could've told Junseok he was dating Seonho and he was serious about him even before the accident, but he didn't.
And don't get me started on Junseok(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ that biatch is a horrible character design in total, why tf does he even exist??? The story writer doesn't know how to write a good story with natural inflections so they're using that problematic little shit as a plot device?? Never once did Munyeong communicate to Seonhi that he knew about Junseok's feelings and that he'll stay loyal and it'll be okay soon.
Ahhhhhh at this point I'm stopping simply because anything more I write would be wasted on this shit story. The title should've been "Munyeong and his f*ck ups" instead f*cking hell

Why are we not talking more about Tachibana's potential side plot?! I want to know more about their story too! And the sister! And how long had Tachibana been liking the Chief? So curious (;-;)
