Im loving this but honestly yujins childhood story is kinda hilarious idk i just really hate it when a story is going really well and everythings perfect and then some parts get rushed or seem irrelevent and irrational. I hope his backstory turns out to be something intresting cus im loving this so far

He just wanted total control and essentially "ownership" of ML. He groomed ML specifically to always want to rely on him (butler), and butler isolated the ML from those around him that could endanger the control the butler has. This is why the ML has no real friends, hates and project hatred on his older brother (who still sees him as a baby to protect and could've challenged the butler's words if the ML ever came to care for his brother), and tries to distance himself from his wife (the butler really wanted her to be disgusted or to hate the ML so that she would either distance herself or leave, unfortunately she was very empathetic and actually broke some of the control the butler had for a second when ML come to like being around her). Everything he does is in service of maintaining that control, even if the ML hates him, because at least the ML will project all his feelings onto the butler.
