He literally took advantage of her state just so he could sleep with her when he had the antidote right there. He knew she just wanted to end the situation by having sex out of desperation and fear of failing, she wouldn't sleep with him otherwise. He had the solution which didn't involve sex (antidote), but chose to throw that aside to get what he wanted instead. Yet everyone is romanticising this, okay.
He was immature. Not an excuse but he was immature at the time. Did he not give her up at the end? Did he not sacrifise being hated by his family who alr frkn hates him just so he can save her from her miserable life. Had he been a grown ass adult with adults who act cared about maybe id think ure right. But our mls situation rn is completely different. He wasnt told right and wrong and rather basically he taught himself everything. You cant expect a teen to not make bad decisions. But what you also dont expecr is him to work hard af to free the girl he loves. Again not an excuse but keep it in mind. That child has had no one with him for a long time.
That is really just an excuse and I don't find it okay regardless. Just because his actions after it seem grand it doesn't cancel out the fact that he did take advantage of her then. His maturity doesn't cancel it out either. To act like it's okay to excuse that someone was taken advantage of because the person who did it was "immature" at the time is weird to me. He knew what he did, you can see it in the chapter. I'm not saying I hate this story, rather I found it interesting, but I think people need to be aware of this and call that scene it what it is
I mean i nvr said its okay either i was just trying to tell you that the mimd of a teen who has no real adult in their lives can do messed up shit. I did dumb stuff as well when i was young obv not this but after learning why tf its not right i stopped. This thing has a whole psychology behind also again as u said he felt guilt afterwards because the boy alr has a built in system of morality which people act work to acquire. Lol idk why im arguing on this with u. Basically ure right that its wrong to do. I wish more authors would just make better characters and give them better character developement
