He had the solution which didn't involve sex (antidote), but chose to throw that aside to get what he wanted instead. Yet everyone is romanticising this, okay.

Yikes. Raped by the boy he taught wtf is this. Even then if u ignore the rape, I hate tropes where the older mc eventually gets with the love interest who they have seen grow up (so mc adult watches love interest kid grow up, eventually mc and love interest get together), it's just weird.
