I feel like if the tone of this manhwa was more psychological horror I'd enjoy this more. I can't say I find this scene romantic.. I think I'd be more into it if the main character was OK that it was happening ( ̄∇ ̄")
right? the manhwa is a hard read sometimes for this reason.. this doesn't only go for their sexual relationship but the way he's forced to bare witness to death despite everyone knowing it makes him feel awful. I find his position to be so pitiful but it adds a strange depth into their relationship, Amon clearly likes him but cannot understand him, I find that it adds to his god status in a way, I really do hope he has a character growth moment where he tries to understand the main character's feelings more
I love how the main character is such a well rounded character. I like that he gets jealous yet refuses to harm pink hair because he is a good person in nature, and I like the push and pull thing he has with Amon. it's the way he wants Amon but is scared of him at the same time– it's his two sides conflicting with one another, the part of him that is made to be Amon's companion and the part of him that is human, which in the story itself addresses that it's almost like he was made from the only human parts of Amon. so far this story is well written!
Na-in is a god with the heart of a human and instead of that serving him it's like a prison of sorts. He and Amon are different in such regard where Amon sees people as nothing, only in existence to be entertainment to him with their lives, so much so that he has no sense of shame and cannot understand Na-in for that very reason, the human part of Na-naturally can feel shame as he holds those lives with respect, valuing their opinions and thoughts, caring about how they perceive him, and most importantly... wanting to be understood by them
I can't help but see Amon in the big cat Na-in loves so much. it mauls with no second thought despite being human raised yet rolls on its back to present its belly for Na-in alone, and to be frank that makes his actions all the more sensible to me; He isn't human and because of that I don't think we can put him up against human standards, who is to say that what he demands is cruel (like human sacrifices, those banquets with fighting, entertainment, etc) when he has no concept of human experience? it's a very interesting thought! amazing read so far (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
I just finished this and tbh, I don't get what the hype was about this story. I get that it's an OG series but I've read several hundreds of BL work and this doesn't even come close to the top 50. I don't think it explored Keith's feelings enough towards Yeon Woo and why he developed his obsession with him other than Yeon Woo's body, or at the very least it didn't get me to understand it thoroughly; what makes Yeon Woo different from other male omegas to Keith? if Yeon Woo was a beta and pheromones weren't a thing would Keith even be into Yeon Woo at all? and I didn't get Yeon Woo's infatuation with Keith at all either, Keith treats him poorly, looks down on him, and is an arrogant Alpha, so what makes him so truly special? I'm not gonna act like Keith should be a good man because to put it simply that would have made for a very boring story and I don't think the ultra wealthy like him could ever be good people anyway, but at least give me a good reason as to why Yeon Woo's heart kept beating for him. sure he's handsome, but anyone sensible would have more than a surface level reason to be as enthralled as Yeon Woo is with Keith, and I don't think Yeon Woo is a complete idiot; He's spellbound but I don't find the reasoning to be completely believable, the way they communicate is giving teenagers too. Keith's excuse for sleeping around when he was playing Yeon Woo right in his face was just so unsatisfactory to me. what type of reason is that? to see if his feelings would fade? what bullshit lol! anyway if you disagree with me feel free to defend it all you like but don't be rude, I'd like to know others perspective on it too. didn't read the special episodes, just the main! 2/5 stars~ (=・ω・=)
yeah i completely get ur pov but just to offer my two cents about ur question of why keith fell for yeonwoo, I always thought it was cause keith had some kind of internalized homophobia (cause its not like he was against male omegas specifically he was against falling for males period), but because he's dominant or whatever his senses always drew him to yeonwoo because of their little fling in college even if he didn't realize it was YW. And also maybe he was always attracted to YW but because of his internalized phobia he was aggressive towards him but still wanted him. I also think he first fell for YW when YW went through that wild goose chase just to get him that watch and he was impressed. IDk just my pov ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I however, dont understand what it is YW sees in keith LOL
Keith's perspective are more explained in special episodes and he basically starts falling in love because Yeonwoo was so dedicated to his job as secretary even after all the bullshit Yeonwoo's must endure due to his job demands and Keith not-so-nice attitude toward him. Though because Keith was so adamant to NOT sleeping with men, he's in deep denial for so long and refused to acknowledge his feeling until much later. On the other side, it never really explained what exactly that makes Yeonwoo love Keith so much (i suspect it has something to do with the fact Keith is the one that turned him into omega) but he did working hard as secretary because he want Keith to acknowledge him so at least Yeonwoo's hard work actually being paid off. I recommended to read special episode because i think it's hillarious in some ways lol.
SPOILERS AND JS MY THOUGHTS/OPINIONS
Yeon Woo is the biggest bird oh my god (least from chp 1-24) he is falling for spells like actual fucking spells cause Keith is playing in his face, and the way he talks about omegas is on some misogyny bs, especially when he gave a small tidbit about his biological mother/father, like there's no way no one else caught that right? I feel like author is almost there but not quite.. they point out that these Alphas are so arrogant and selfish with the line "there's a difference between a sex partner and a marriage partner" and making a comment about it within the story; yet is fine with Keith slipping in something like that about his mom??? which by the way he doesn't call mom/dad, mother/father, or even biological mother/father, but as "the omega who gave birth to me." WILDDDDD, it's high-key giving human trafficking, and the way MC didn't see that as a red flag?? (my point stands he is a bird brain btch, doesn't that shit kinda imply that Keith's mom/dad's human rights are lowk getting violated) LIKE DO YOU HEAR HIM? mind you he's stroking Yeon Woo's shit while he was saying allat; like what a way to make ML immediately dislikable. I'm only 24 chapters in and my opinion can obviously change but the way Yeon Woo is just looking through this shit with rose tinted glasses is crazy, you are a grown man dada, from my point of view that man does not gaf about you other than your body, you truly are just the next sex partner, I just don't think Keith respects him, especially from the earlier chapters when Yeon Woo got sexually assaulted and his response was "you shoulda just let them fuck you" and almost broke into Yeon Woo's apartment because he wanted to quit his job after a very traumatizing encounter. I'm not even mad this shit is toxic, cause I think people have the right to enjoy whatever they want, I'm just baffled at how naive our MC is at his big age, like don't burn me at the stake for saying this but I kinda see why Keith doesn't respect him OOP. like baby get up, not you finding sex partners for your own crush ;-; I have so many thoughts on this story mainly because I haven't touched this thing since I dropped it in 2022 but the story is interesting so I'm gonna keep reading

10/10 even the smut makes me feel like an ancient philosopher
Absolutely cackling reading this
