This chapter or the whole story? SPOILERS










Jinyeong and Jisu are both cops who used to be married, but their marriage ended in divorce. They both clearly still love each other although Jisu is still in denial. So they've been hooking up despite being divorced, with Jisu sending very mixed messages. He seeks out Jinyeong for sex, but gets upset when Jinyeong tries to hang out with him outside of work.

Then one night Jinyeong just disappears. We're given information about a fatal car accident happening that same night, but what exactly happened hasn't been explained yet. Jinyeong disappears for an entire year, but suddenly returns and won't explain what happened. This makes Jisu very upset, because he doesn't understand why Jinyeong would do such a thing but refuse to tell him why he disappeared or where he was. He still hasn't revealed what happened.

In this universe there's a huge tech company that creates chips for people's brains that can, among other things, force people to tell the truth. But based on the event that happens with the CEO, the company is capable of far more advanced things.

In that one scene the CEO appears to be trying to transfer his sickly son's consciousness into a robotic host. Some sort of evil entity appears in the process and tries to hijack the robotic body while appearing to consume the son's consciousness. They try to trap it but it escapes, along with whatever is left of his son's consciousness.

There are several events that happen plus some background news chatter that says people who use the tech company's products have been seeing a man with brown hair. No one seems to know why. Jisu also heard something strange talking while using his music pod thing. It's implied that there's a presence out there that has something to do with the CEO's son and that rogue entity. But it hasn't been explained yet.

In the last chapter Jinyeong was still refusing to tell Jisu what happened and Jisu got mad and left. Jinyeong either remembers or has a flashback to the day he married Jisu. It's clear he still loves Jisu and is heartbroken, but we still don't know why he can't tell Jisu what happened to him.

Also, there is that drug addict actor, who is half machine thanks to that tech company (Neokinema). So it seems they can also make living people half-machine. I think that might be relevant, too.

Oh it absolutely is. I know the white-haired guy has something to do with Neokinena, but I don't really believe him when he says his face burst open because of drugs. I think it's either the entity or this tech is unstable.
