It's pretty much gay tho read the novel they the author don't even try to hide it and tbh this story is mainly action and about yoojin's trauma, the story is not even about romance. There are many het action manhwas where mc ends up with a woman and many of those are not tagged as "romance" so why does this story have to be tagged as a bl for ppl to acknowledge that their relationship is beyond platonic? It always pisses me off that a queer story has to be marked as bl/gl for ppl to acknowledge it or it's queer baiting (the way this happened with tshd few weeks ago cuz yoshiki and hikaru didn't kiss) but the same does not apply to het stories. If either hyunje or yoojin were a woman nobody would need a tag to know that they're gonna end up together even if they don't but since they're both men y'all won't accept their relationship unless a bl tag is there.

Naw, it's censored Chinese yaoi, big difference. They will be the gayest they can be without any physical intimacy. Which ironically is why Shounen AI usually has better stories than Yaoi.
Shounen ai is sfw bls a lot of censored Chinese bls comes under sub category of Shounen ai and it also implies romantic storyline (which msch does not have) and a lot of Shounen ai has physical intimacy they just don't showthem doing the deed on screen (killer crush and robber x lover are the ones I can name from top of my head) I said in my previous reply that msch is a story about yoojin's grief and trauma it does not have "romance" between any of the characters adding yaoi or shounen ai tag will make ppl expect romantic storyline which is not there but the lack of them doesn't mean that the said characters are not queer in nature
