No official "ending", not even a proper closure. I think that's what makes it hurt even more. We got the chance to talk things out, but somehow it still ended in an argument, with gifts being thrown away. I couldn't bring myself to accept the gift we had for each other because it felt like a parting gift which I loathe the idea of since it implies ......
