I guess having other characters talk endlessly about how great the MC is and having the MC him/herself not demonstrating any real personality is something that's not gonna go away anytime soon
They're not calling her great because of her personality though. They're not complimenting how she such a great human being, but on her acting ability which you can clearly be seen drawn out when she does act. Im not understanding where personality has to come in when they are subjectively stating that they see her acting ability extraordinary albeit somewhat dangerous. Yes, she does not have a discernable personality, that I totally agree with you on. However, what you're saying doesn't really add up here. If the characters were dumping exposition about her character onto you like how she is so kind and has a heart of gold when she clearly does not or talk about how her acting is so great yet we as the readers have yet to see such talent then I believe this comment would be justified. That's not the case though.

Pretty art, terrible story telling. Every panel is a close-up on someone's face for some reason and there's no establishing their prior friendship OR the decision to break off the yearly thing by lying. It's clear what everyone's thinking but it's still hard to tell how they feel because there's zero hints of their inner life.
Like, I'm OK with yaoi that has melodramatic contrived rapey plots but this is just doing nothing to me
