Yeonwoo was bullied and abused by Seoin’s brother in school after Seoin left Korea. He got really badly injured from this bullying that he developed anxiety and ptsd from it. It was heavily implied that Seoin’s parents paid Yeonwoo’s dad hush money to keep this bullying incident under wraps and his dad accepted the money. Combined with his dad’s abuse and very likely his dad choosing money over protecting him, Yeonwoo had enough and ran away with Ahjusshi’s help.

If I had to point one problem out with this manhwa it would be its obsession with being gay. I would love to see a little bit more representation of LGBTQ culture here. Not everything begins and ends with being gay. I understand that some close minded people think that so showing it like this might be accurate but for people who have accepted themselves in the community I don’t think that’s the case.
