I dropped it at chapter 77 and by the looks of it, the ending was disappointing.
After the revenge arc, the plot as we knew it had wrapped up and there was no evident goal for the MC. There was the generic issue of demons-humans fight and the struggle of how to end up with the demon prince, but there was no action anymore. Suddenly, it became a generic romance with struggles and differences in social standing between the two. If I wanted to read a romance story with drama I would have found something else.
Also, after her brother came back, we saw less of the other characters (the second prince and the count and even the demon prince). I mean we already established that they have no chances left but is that all reason to leave them out of the story? Maybe they appear more later, I don’t know.
It was a shame. The beginning was kinda nice and I really liked the way she dealt with her step sister and step mother, especially when she actually died and came back to life. It had potential.
I have to say, although I loved it and especially through chapters 1-95+ something, the chapters from 100 and more felt a little weird to me. I felt like the misunderstanding could have ended earlier and it wouldn’t have left us with this bitter taste. For me, when there’s been a misunderstanding or argument with someone I can’t just do a whole 180 and confess my feelings and kiss and all that. I need some time to get rid of the bad feelings, or the next moments with them will have a bitter taste in my mouth and I won’t enjoy them. So as I was reading it, even as a viewer, I wanted some time after they solved the misunderstanding to actually talk it through and have a moment alone. If the confession came after that, I think it would have been far more enjoyable, because the mood was set right.
Didn’t really like it. First of all, her name is Blondina (I can’t) and she isn’t really doing anything? When she was a child she was more assertive and smart, but then when she grows up she’s the damsel in distress and whenever something happens, she SAYS that she has to do something but then doesn’t do much. Amon is the one to always save her in the end.
Secondly, I don’t really like their relationship, it’s not very healthy. It’s cute if you read it but then you realise he is very possessive (and even when they weren’t even dating) and it always feels like he is another baby, not her husband. They don’t have good communication and again, the whole jealousy thing is very bad.
Also, the whole thing where he lost his memory was so weird, it didn’t have to be part of the story. I don’t even know why they included that.
I guess the prince had a nice development, but they didn’t really show it that much. Father didn’t really do a good job in the past and now he has MUCH to do to repent for that. This also may be why I’m not that mad at the princess (the villain). She wanted affection, there wasn’t someone to teach her right from wrong and she ended up desperate and afraid she’s too far gone to change her plans. Also there was a mother somewhere, right? I’m not remembering wrong? We have no idea where she is now, she hasn’t been mentioned at all. Maybe I missed something.
All in all, would not read again.
Can we talk about Shane for a second?
I was waiting for the moment he would be killed but when it actually happened I was full on crying. I initially thought his siblings were gonna be left alone but then they died too and then I realised they would have died anyway, so it was all just so sad ┗( T﹏T )┛
Bring us Shane and his family back
Tbh I’d prefer it if everything she misunderstood was true and the story just got sadder with her being the villain and eventually leaving the mansion to start a new life. It would be far more interesting and emotional. Now it’s all so very dumb and pointless.
I can read these mangas many times! I rate them >9.5/10 based on my own preferences, so there will be lots of non-mainstream BL
