JUST A RANT. Okay so i grew up in a reaaallllyyy religious christian household. Honestly im fine with being a christian and I think Jesus is cool and all but damn i really dont like the christians in our church like 75% are toxic imo. Thats why i avoid going to church. But my mom is the worse like most of our fights stems from me not going to church and tells me “i should have not raised you if you're just gonna be a bad christian” and sometimes she uses physical violence to force me to go to church, like just a while ago. Welp im just hurt inside out and really pissed because im tired af already. I want to keep being a christian just not at that church. People who changed church gets judged because ours thinks that theyre the only ones who is correct and other churches are wrong and because of that thinking, it made my mom SO ANGRY when i wanted to change churches as well. Anyway just a rant sighhhh

"And I think Jesus is cool", hahahaha, this sounds funny
But I'm sorry for your situation :/ Unfortunately, it's always hard to deal with extremists, I know the feeling. Mostly, for me, it's just frustrating. Well, I hope things work well for you, and I hope your situation gets better :( Is there nothing you can do to change it?

I don't think she's a real Christian then. You know there are two types of Christians, the real ones and fake ones. Most consists of Christian by title not by heart. They misinterpret the true meaning of Christianity, it isn't even a religion but a relationship.

To determine the two, real ones wouldn't judge you, make you feel bad about yourself, or curse you. They would even listen to your troubles no matter your belief since we love to serve people just as God did. Like me, I make mistakes but I strive to be the better of myself, and with that I help others as well with their journey of improvement.

I grew up in a Christian Family as well but the approach is entirely different. One experience of mine is I got caught reading yaoi, yep, my dad and mom were surprised of course. It was homosexuality and pornography but they didn't shout at me or curse me. They just talked to me warmly about it and had a heart to heart talk.

And after that they didn't mention that incident again, as if it didn't happen at all. It's all about understanding. And now I have been reading yaoi less than before. Which is good in my point of view.

Try to look for Christians who truly treasures God and you'll appreciate life even more and for friends that would be with you like family.

Sorry for the long reply, I just wanted to somehow sooth your mind that you are not alone.

I’m dealing with the same thing. I’ve never told my mom I don’t want to go church. I’m about to be out of the house soon and I’ll probably just stop going then. I’m just too tired all the time to fight her about it.

Don’t misunderstand me. Me mom is not the problem. It’s just the rules of our house: if I live there, I go to church. And I respect those rules. My mom is a really caring and understanding person, she just believes differently than me. And she does believe homosexuality is wrong and the normal Christian beliefs, but she’s not and extremist about it. She had gay cousins and stuff that she loves and treats no differently than anyone else. But my church is the problem. It’s members are very conservative and I don’t agree with 90% of the stuff they preach about. The sermons at my church either degrade Muslims, homosexuals, or women. My preacher never talks about how we could be better people or how we could show love to people. It’s only those three. Every damn Sunday.

Apparently I needed to rant too lmao. Anyway, you’re not alone dude. We’re kind of in this together lol.

good question tho! i guess kinda like the same concept? where the prettiest girls liked the "ugliest" girl in school. Of course im not looking for the exact same plotline. Thats why there are people who ask for recommendations with a common factor. I guess in my case, i just want to read yuri, and since never understand was one of my first and favorite yaoi, i want to read a yuri version with the same concept. I hope this makes sense tho T.T

Is there a shounen ai manga where it may be a school or workplace setting, but the people around are very supportive of the pairing and are trying to help the mc to confess or something.

Honestly in short, where the surrounding people are supportive and accepting of a same sex relationship

Hisui December 8, 2017 5:10 pm

Honestly i made a promise to myself that if i start earning money, i will pay back every manhwa/manga that ive read or animes that i watched. Although it does seem like "wtf why would you do that you already read/watched it for free." Idk it just doesnt sit with me well that i wont pay someone with the effort that theyve spent on creating content that has given me and other people entertainment and happiness. Plus, its their income and they honestly need it. They wont just spend their time and effort drawing if we are just gonna read it for free. I know some may disagree with me tho ( ̄∇ ̄")

I want to add that there's another important part of this, too. Artists/authors do need to be paid. You can't write/draw if you are hungry, don't have a place to live, can't buy pens and paper. If nobody pays for the work, the artists/authors have to go find other jobs and then they stop creating. And that hurts readers. So if people don't buy manga/manwha, they're hurting themselves, too, because it will mean fewer manga will be created and published. I totally get that not everyone can afford to buy every manga, but it's also important to be aware that by stealing these works, you participate in destroying them.

I am a published writer and I see my books on piracy sites all the time. Here's how that directly impacts not just me but my readers: I get emails from readers asking when I'm going to write a sequel but my publisher has already said they will not buy a sequel because the first novel didn't sell enough copies. I have to write something my publisher will buy because I need money, so I can't use my limited time to write a sequel that I already know my publisher won't buy. So my readers don't get what they're asking for.

So bottom line: if you love something and you want more of it, do your best to try to support it financially.

    CathyBLover November 17, 2017 4:26 pm

I guess it depends. Do you mean like it's so sad/bittersweet it made your heart ache or sickeningly sweet fluff/genuine love and caring that it made your heart clench?

In either case On the Doorstep is a
good one. Mature, but man do I love it
