Hey everyone I've got a question for the reader's of this manga. I haven't read this yet, but my friend kept telling me to read this since it's about a woman being asexual.
My question is, why does the mc of this manga only likes bl? I kind of quite see why she doesn't like straight love, since it made her feel 'the odd one out' but is there any reason to why she only validates/make love between 2 men her escape? I'm quite confused with her way of thinking.
Or perhaps anyone that only read the genre bl, and not gl/sl/ any other genre that doesn't involve romance. Why only BL?
We tend to put ourselves in the place of the protagonist when reading stories and some of us don’t want or like to be. I like bl stories more because there’s no possibility of me being in the story. I haven’t actually read this so it may be for a completely different reason but that’s my take.

hey so let me give my two cents as a woman who's on ace spectrum (irl i haven't felt sexual attraction towards anyone but i don't have an aversion to it, i mean, i could feel sexual attraction if i KNOW that person well enough i guess) (oh inseop from "for your murder" manhwa and nanami kento from "jujutsu kaisen" are definitely my type and I would hit, but they're fictional and 2D so idk if i even have sexual attraction towards real people or not)
i really have thought why i like BL more than GL or straight romances. probably bc there's no women in BL as love interests, so i can completely detach myself. men are such alien entities to me, the way they think, the way their thoughts processes are. also, BL has much more easy power dynamics as compared to straight romances. there's inherent power imbalance due to gender in a straight relationship. in GL, these power dynamics are more vague, as there's no "gender" thing. (ie. the top and bottom preference does not have a 'fight' thing going on, like no girl is out there going 'oh am i the bottom?' in a lesbian relationship and then getting shocked or p*saed off by it) in BL relationships, somehow the top/bottom dynamics in BL is a direct or indirect hit to being more 'masculine', while being a top/bottom dynamics in GL isn't a direct hit to their 'femininity'. there's also mentioned who fear being 'gay'/attracted to men, as compared to women. i have come across so many women who are okay with the idea of their friend being bi, and women are also less opposed to the idea of them being bi. (the comments under some masc girl's thirst trap of the (otherwise 'straight') girls saying 'i might be gay for her'). i haven't come across men commenting these kind of comments from 'straight' men under a femboy making videos (those comments are either them sexualising that man or hating on him how he's not a 'man' enough). so BL gives me a fantasy on how these men behave when they are hit with the gay awakening. BLs have more inner conflicts with the man coming to terms with his sexuality, and also how they behave outdoors in a society(like, they can't hold hands or be touchy, as opposed to GLs where girls can hold hands or be touchy and js be seen as 'friends').
ofcourse in GLs, girls will have other problems that people don't acknowledge their relationship or call it a phase or some experimental thing. or don't believe the relationship to be 'real' bc they're both girls. in general, any relationship with a man is considered 'serious', like if a man hooks up with another man, he is asked 'are you gay?' or gay allegations, but if a woman hooks up with another girl one time, it's considered a slip up or a 'girl' thing. basically, skinship among men is so looked down upon, men are afraid of even looking at other man's eyes for more than 5 seconds while girls can literally make out in a girl's washroom and most people with either sexualise it (men) or let it slide bc it's 'fun' and doesn't make them 'gay'. (like hello whom are you kidding? as a bi woman it makes me laugh bc ts is more gay than a lesbian relationship lmao)
also, i js really like masculinity. this is why i love a GL with butchfemme dynamics (with a masc girl bottom/being sub and a femme girl top/being dom). this is why i really like buff bottoms. a supposedly masculine man on bottom, yes f*ck that heteronormativity.
overall, in BL and GL both, the bi erasure is crazy. like sorry i like both T_T. no that doesn't mean i want a poly relationship. (no hate to others who consensually want poly, it's js not me i'm monogamous through and through i don't read anything that doesn't have an exclusive relationship). if a man gets a crush on a man and previously had gfs, he is suddenly gay? no hello? you're bi. same goes with a girl, if she got a bf but broke up and hooked up with a girl, doesn't mean she's a lesbian.
in general, i like BLs more than GLs bc: men are really hot and i like looking at buff men getting d*cked down. (i wish that was me lmao, i know i was a female seahorse in my previous life the way I wanna get a hot buff man pregnant), also men for really rigid opinions on 'masculinity' and i like it when something happens that makes them question that, i like the way they navigate their relationship in a society that has more negetive and harsh opinions on gay relationships as opposed to lesbian relationships(the society is ignorant towards them and doesn't take them 'seriously'). i like the male ahegao faces, I really like masculinity sorry. that's why i be liking them bitch women, need them bad ngl. (kang yuna from bad thinking diary is HAWT i haven't read that GL but goddamn have mercy)
