Think about it, the little chance we got to see what was happening in Katamoto’s life in JP while Geumhwa is dying (not literal) back in KR, was bc the red-haired yakuza mentioned an overseas client, which could’ve been the abusive ex planning the whole thing that happened in ch. 30.
I’d like to think that it was just that way at the end: the abusive ex gave Geumhwa away to Katamoto. However, it’s possible that Katamoto did went to KR for a business trip and the red-haired yakuza just happened to plan a brief meeting with the MC while they were at it and just distracted the abusive ex in the meantime (but this way it could’ve been too much of a coincidence anyways), and Geumhwa could’ve even gone back to his ex’s after meeting with Katamoto at the beach… Uuughhh I wish it could’ve been more clear for overthinkers like me (︶︿︶)
Based on the chapter, it’s clear that the mc and ml ended up together. The ml was refusing to be with the mc but in the end, he showed up which is proof that he finally decided to just accept their relationship. Also, we can infer that the 2ml will have his own relationship with the red haired guy.
I think they called him actually.
