cant believe i started when this was a baby with only a few chapters and it’s finally ended…i won’t lie i thought this would drag on for longer, but, even though a lot of ppl seem to be unsatisfied with the ending i think it’s quite fitting actually.
i was a little unsure of how the makoto’s future would even look once he surpassed j but this makes sense. his sense of purpose has always been driven by j, of course he would just continue the cycle. even when he detached himself from his own humanity more and more, he’s just as attached in that humanly way like the rest of them.

maybe it’s a little too optimistic in how all her characters stories seem to live in a universe where homophobia doesn’t exist (or at least doesn’t exist as harshly) but it’s nice to see how nonchalant everyone is about them and akira and all the others in her other stories too.
but i also appreciate it a lot because it tends to get tiring when that’s the main point of conflict over and over. wish it was like that in real life…
Owshii i meant to upvote
honestly would rather read/watch stuff like that because 1.it shows how easy it is not to be homophobic 2. they don't use the same homophobia tropes over & over & over again 3. it shows how easy it is not to be homophobic
