Ahh yeah I kinda understand! I myself an a gay female and I prefer to read some yaoi and some yuri cuz they seem more relatable to me. Hh some yaoi and yuri are over sexualized and that makes me uncomfortable! I like most webtoons and slower paced stories cuz they feel more realistic for me! Ahh I hope this makes sense, hHh I still feel really guilty about liking yaoi and yuri sObs

Yeah i read shonen ai but yknow sometimes i fall in love with a plot of a manga that is tagged yaoi , and the sex is mostly on the latest chapters , so i just enjoy the first parts and skip the sex.
Also yaoi is more various than shonen ai and more frequent

I in no way think anyone is homophobic by just reading yaoi/yuri, it’s a different story if you only like them cuz of the sex scenes/ don’t support lgbtq irl / (ahh idk how to word this) sexualize gay people irl. Ahh I do read Shonen ai but I find yaoi/yuri more relatable, especially the slower paced ones cuz they are more relatable for me! HHH my friend says everyone who reads yaoi is disgusting and homophobic and I partly agree that some are but I’m not reading them to sexualize it! Ahh I hope it makes sense and I don’t like popular yaoi tropes and all the sex scenes, I prefer the slower paced ones!!
