Not really, I’m breathing for BL because the real world is too boring and dangerous for my heart to stay unbroken (why did it sound so depressing? Lol). I just totally devote myself into the plot and will eventually cheer with them when the happy ending appears~

What genres are you interested in?

I'm in it for all I've been thinking of collecting Akira , and the golden sheep oh and maybe trail of blood because they all seem like short and promising series but I'm open to anything

I haven't read A Trail of Blood or the Golden Sheep but I see the latter is from the mangaka of Immortal Rain and I loved it so it's got to be good.
You can't go wrong with Akira. Any of the newer editions are super high quality, it's a solid classic.
Vagabond and Blade of the Immortal are also GORGEOUS oldies but they're super long, maybe look used or older editions.

Anything Asano Inio is gold. The artwork is indescribably beautiful and reading such heavy stories in a book format enhances the experience.

Dorohedoro is super available and on sale everywhere because of the netflix adaptation!! I only have 5 volumes and plan to get the rest this year.

Yaois are shorter and cheaper; Ranmaru Zariya or Nakamura Asumiko are very, very, VERY good.

One similar to that is “Sabishisugite Rezu Fūzoku ni Ikimashita Report“ Sorta ig becuase the MC has friends from highschool but she becomes a depressed recluse during adulthood. It focuses more on social anxiety and craving companionship (and it’s a yuri manga so expect girls love). Another one is goodnight punpun if you want dark coming to age without yuri!

Oh god. I read junko furuta's story so many years ago, and i still cringe/get scared like i just read it yesterday. The pics i saw and the story always flash in my mind like i had a trauma. I just hope all her killers get the karma they deserve coz they are now all free from prison. It is infuriating. One of the killers mother actually desecrated junko's grave and accused her of "destroying her son's life". No wonder their sons are messed up. The parents are fucked in the head too.
