So basically, Amon is a dragon and Nain his mate, they've been bonded for +500 years (Amon created that whole temple and things aroud it for Nain) but Nain doesn't remember anything because Amon asked the priests to erase his memories whenever he gets too sad or depressed because he's scared of losing him (dragon mates disappear/literally fade away when they're heartbroken) and since Amon's only obsession/important thing in his dragon mind is Nain he does all kind of morally wrong things to keep him
Then we find out that Gwen is a very powerful mage that came from the Labyrinthe with the purpose of freeing Nain and killing Amon because he hates dragons
Fast forward Nain and Gwen fall in love with each other and become lovers, Gwen is actually the sweetest ever
Fast forward again, lot of shit happens, Gwen is almost killed by Amon after a fight, Nain think he's dead and fade away because of his broken heart
They find a way to bring him back, which took a while, and then Gwen and Amon have a silent agreement that they would stop trying to kill each other for the sake of Nain and to keep him by their side because they realize he can't live without either of them (Amon is his mate and he used to be very in love with him and Gwen is his love)
So Nain does end with both of them but the 2 hate each other and don't have any kind of relationship besides doing what they can to keep Nain alive

I see, then it's probably better to marinate this for a while because it seems like the main plot still far away ╥﹏╥

I would like to see amon repent some more but I feel like it's not worth to just keep seeing Nain suffer. Thank you so much for the big spoiler, you just save a life there

does that mean that at the end nain is no longer in love with amon??

it's kind of complicated cause he still have feelings for him but after everything that happened he's kinda lost and don't know if it's actual love or something else. but he's still very much attached to him and need him/want him

yeah rn it's still only the beginning and they're setting up the mood/world building for the actual plot, and the most interesting parts of the story are very far (=・ω・=)

Oh my freaking god- I thought so far from this. It was already pointed out that Amon is a dragon but I didn't think Nain would be his mate. I thought he's some part of Amon that he kept uhh separated from himself (?) bc Nain keeps repeating how Amon doesn't understand emotions but Nain does. And that Amon is just waiting for Nain to be fully idk bro HAHSHXBJSJAH omg I love spoilers and I like how this will end. I'm definitely up for the drama and how Amon and Gwen have a beef with each other lol. Now I'm looking forward more for updates damn it

Yeah that's because Nain was only a human before meeting Amon, in order to become his mate he had to die and get eaten by Amon's dragon form, and inside him Nain's body kinda transformed, so even though he doesn't have the body of a simple human anymore he still very much has all his human emotions and is very empathic which made it hard to live with Amon who has no humanity. that's why he often almost faded away and Amon had to erase his memories to keep him alive (the biiiig memories wipe starts when Nain lose a child he took care of since he was born and became an adult). And the whole thing about them being some kind of gods was started by those cultists because of Amon's powers but they're very much just a dragon and his mate. Let me know if there's something else you wanna know ╮(￣▽￣)╭

It sounds kinda sad that Amon has to be okay with sharing Nain. He spent hundreds of years trying to protect Nain, even if selfish at times and cruel. It’s more sad that Nain has to forget his love for Amon. But I also see it as him protecting Nain’s happiness and life span. I just didn’t like how Nain and Gwen went behind Amon’s back (I remmeber someone spoiled that it was basically cheating). I’m someone who detests cheating so I’m a bit annoyed by that, but it’s something I can look past here…considering how much Nain went through. It wouldn’t make sense for me to hate any of them, especially Nain.

I just find it sad that the two mates welcomed a third in a depressing way lol. I wouldn’t have mind if the three met in a better way, but hey, this wouldn’t be a story then. Considering Amon is someone who cannot understand humanity like Gwen, Nain absolutely needs human love by side.

Also does Nain ever remember his first love for Amon?

Well after eating him the first time he did kinda eat him other times to put him to sleep (years and years of sleep) in order to rebuild a temple for Nain whenever something went wrong. But in the present time and after he doesn't do it anymore cause Nain told him the last time he did it that he really hated it. Well tbh I don't think it should be seen as cheating because in this context, Nain has absolutely no memory of anything or how things came to be and is just following the flow, and here Leshas are literally seen as "concubines" of the gods (mostly Nain) and Nain thought for so long that Amon was interested in them and therefore his jealousy. So he didn't think there was anything wrong with what he did with Gwen because he literally thought that's how things were supposed to be. Amon wasn't even really mad at the fact Nain had a relationship with Gwen he got mad when he realized how important Gwen became for Nain and how he could become another reason for Nain to fade away if something happened to him.

Nain being with both doesn't bother me cause once you understand the story and situation, you realize how he needs them for balance and one alone isn't enough to keep him alive.

And yes he does end up recovering all of his memories little by little once he stop letting that priest do his things. He remember how he came to meet Amon and fall in love with him even if for a short time

Yeah no I get it. I just didn’t like how they got together but it’s obvious they are meant to be. I don’t necessarily see it as cheating either considering the things Nain went through and as you said, his memories. I don’t fully agree with the person who said it was. However, I just find the whole situation icky at best.

What did Nain think when he remembered Amon before memory loss? The Amon he loved fully? I just find this sad. This is one reason why I hate amnesia arcs in other stories.

Also about the concubines, I don’t remember but does Amon still have them by the end or is it just Nain?

At first Nain was very intrigued by Amon because he could tell he wasn't just a normal human being, he started approaching him little by little and since Amon let him he just started going to meet him by the river everyday and spend time with him until he fell in love and Amon realized he wasn't bothered by Nain's presence because he knew he was his mate, Nain was very happy about being his mate too and that's how things came to be between them

After everything and when Nain recovered his memories it was all very bitter sweet, but him having his memories back made him understand Amon so much better and made him remember all the things Amon did for him which is why he couldn't let go of him. Cause he knew he used to be in love with him and still had feelings, and he knew that Amon never wanted to really hurt him and actually understood that, since he was a Dragon, he couldn't feel and act like humans. All in all Nain is very understanding of who Amon is and how he can't judge him by humans standard since he's not one. That's why he still loves him enough to keep him in his life

Meant to be is a big stretch I would say. My theory is that Nain isn't actually Amons true mate.












That's why their relationship is as fucked up as others where the human mate is tortured and under extrem stress all the time leading to not a happy end. I would have preferred, since Amon didn't help much in the end for him to be killed by Gwen. While reading I had a feeling the author was just keeping Amon alive because... Some reason.
Nain feelings for Amon also might just be the mate bound and not his actual feelings...
