People need to understand that Sasha all throughout his life literally lived in the slumps traumatized, making him mentally-ill and affecting his decision making. Desperate for any form of salvation whether it be settling out of pity from Karel’s love.
Karel was literally crazy for monopolizing Sasha. In Karel’s perspective it’s pretty much selfish for him to think that the only method that could heal Sasha was being their for him and doing everything with him or for him. But to Sasha, without having a definite career and life to contribute in their relationship. This makes him feel like he himself, is a burden and making him anxious about their future.
There’s no point in pointing fingers here especially to Sasha. When in reality Both of them failed to acknowledge that they’re suppose to be doing these sacrifices for themselves, their relationship. Not for the sake of each other.

yes, Sasha needed mental healing. Karel, being the sane one, should have helped him more in that area, but he was too selfish to see it, only enjoying himself and then being loved for the sacrifices he did. lack of communication is huge, they don't know much about each other, so how could they have a healthy relationship. but then again, they didn't even talked about their relationship in the first place.
I feel like Ideum dismissing the whole “misunderstanding” and his own feelings could really reflect how he’ll think about the possibility of the two of them having feelings for each other in the future. He genuinely has such low self-esteem. I can see both of them being in denial about their feelings for each other, with Jaeyi being more privileged in the sense that he’s able to recognize and accept his feelings, while Ideum would probably struggle to even acknowledge his.
Plus, Ideum is a writer, so he might actually be the first one to notice Jaeyi’s feelings for him. But I feel like recognizing those feelings would only make everything more complicated for him, because he’d probably experience them so intensely while still struggling to believe that someone like Jaeyi could genuinely feel that way about him.
