people in QT usually don't mix up their main self and their assumed identity in each world, but this one weirdly make the MC and ML have DID. weirdly again the side characters (other system and transmigration) are safe from this condition which make it more jarring for the main couple.

by the end I'm surprised wang yi is still hung up on that accident. however I feel he's no longer the college student wang yi who has gone world hopping, he's like an individual who had gone through multiple reincarnation and then remembered he still has regret in the past life and went back to correct that.

by the end, there is no more qi xian of other past life, only the immortal qi xian who remembers many past life and fall in love with his own disciple who also happen to share past history with him in several previous life. so he decided to ascend to the world his disciple chose to continue his life.

the plan about the god system is merely a legacy from their past life and also become their problem because they don't want to be restricted or controlled too, otherwise I feel like they would barely care about solving it if it didn't affect their current life. idk fight me if you have other idea.

for story like this, they should have one main identity or self to wrap up all other different world identities. wang yi should be just a college student and ex-system who world hopping to focus to return to his original time, and qi xian should be that magic general who is in the latest stage of completing their plan while acting as immortal. by the end idk who they are anymore

ok idk the whole journey but the way he announced he didn't feel like a man wasn't what I expected from an actual trans character. the first part is still ok but the later part when he mentioned how he wanted to be jinguji's gf and how it was (kinda) his fault that tachibana didn't want to be a man again sounds to me like he only wanted to be a girl so he can be jingu's gf (main reason).

IF this wasn't a joke, then it's another misconception from jp author how love can change someone gender or how gender need to change if you want to be with someone of the same gender. I mean, I still remember the past scenes with tachibana og's body and he didn't show hint that he ever feel his male body was wrong. it was only until he got magicked into a female body he began to get used to it.

imo he just gets used to it, he had a whole journey and adventure, met a lot of people with his female identity, and also had his first crush with more chance of success than when he's a man, hat's why it was more meaningful than his og male body.

it's not the first time I read manga where a man turned into a woman then fall in love with his male friend then decided to stay a woman so they could get married and have kids. however I'm ok with that manga bc it's historical setting so I understand the couple wish to get married and have children tgt otherwise impossible with same sex marriage in historical setting.

I mean I am not familiar with transgender scene, but folks wanted to change gender for love seem a bit pitiful? like they should change for themselves not for other. ok honestly I'm just bored so I started this topic. tell me if I am wrong, and over the course of his journey tachibana really did honestly just want to be a woman regardless her feeling for her male friend or whether that jingguji will only be with her as her not him

this is killing me every week, sometimes I wish it has monthly release just so they can stop with. the cliffhanger. (weekly chapters are so short)

this is the kind of story that need maturity to enjoy/understand. there are many instances of trying to share the idea of gender equality. and that author knows that forcing intimacy even in marriage is still rape. I am so grateful for that, it would fly over me when I was younger bc I hadn't understand the gravity.

characters are also kinda complex in how they changed their tune when situation changed. it can be difficult to understand and sympathize if you don't understand how society and situation shape up everyone. like the current crown prince's fiance, I wouldn't be able to tolerate her if I was younger, but the current me can see the irony and feel a bit sympathy.

tbf this is a mature story, what confuse me the normal (non mature) version is still too mature to my understanding. I think the mature version should actually mean more explicit. while the non mature version is still for josei (adult women) tbh I wouldn't recommend it for middle school girlies or even early high school I am just that traditional

kinda weird. so she reincarnated into the body of someone who is also a reincarnation of another person? so the body has been occupied by two soul with "reincarnation" trait. if you think about it, it is a bit convoluted.
and the possibility of mc having more than one past live, who is also sibling with the lover of the current body.
if it is true, idk how that blonde priest will fee that the soul inside his lover body is now his sister.

edit: oh I just thought this, if Aisha can't die without killing the child, then Mikhail can't kill Aisha who is inside the body of his lover. so perhaps that's the plan.

however I still think it's weird that it is the body who carried the trait "ignis' lover". imo it should be the soul of the past saintess who carried the memory, the body itself shouldn't matter. so if the soul changed, the trait shouldn't be carried over. except if saintess' soul is still inside the body.

I don't read much yandere, I usually tolerate them, but I ALMOST cant stand Yanik (ml).
he is too open about his heavy feeling and he already made hestia/cece uncomfortable since a long time ago. he didn't listen to her at all and only do whatever he wanted, he only stopped when he saw hestia crying. it is weirdly a relief that hestia cries easily so yanik would back out.

i'm kinda annoyed tho why author use tear as a sign that a man should back out, they should have back out waaay before a woman's tears fall. and if it is a normal yandere they wouldnt even back out even if the girl cry. so you're saying yandere cant read facial expression except tears? it is kinda funny.

yanik is kinda dumb dumb, it is not his first time interacting with hestia, yet he only realized he didn't listen to hestia only just recently? his character development is too fast, but i weirdly glad it did because he is written really uncharmingly with little redeemable traits except his face and his loyal love (if you call it love), i almost want to root for the prince, his love rival.

now he is more amicable when hestia acknowledge him and give him more attention. honestly it is really a bit hard to like an obsessive character who have nothing but his obsession.

let's compare him to another obsessive character. arwin from miss sidekick (i dont remember full title), arwin has similar or worse posessive nature, but he had a life before latte (his love interest), and he still had his mage tower even if he will destroy the world and everything for latte. but his life was alive and full of people. and he has opinion about matter unrelated to latte. even if his life revolve around latte now, but it also full with other things. so although he is arguably more dangerous (with his world destroying thoughts) somehow it feel safer and fluffy to see latte with him. end of story

oh alright he finally used his knowledge, it is quite clever.

i just dont know why they seem to hate the crown princess at first glance, i mean it is normal wanting to be tgt with your family and make jesse return home from her pov. sure the princess failed to ensure jesse's safety, but she knows she has failed to protect her precious bro it is already a kind of punishment. it is just a bit weird outsider (outside family) can glare at her for that.

i meaaan, maybe i dont have friends who will glare at my family member who failed to protect me... like, different culture and all, they dont know the whole picture too. but like, that scene is a bit weird. if that family member is abusive, maybe it is normal for friends to be mad at them. but it wasnt the princess's fault.

i mean at first i thought they just dont really want her to bring jesse back home, but then it would mean they kinda objectified jesse. jesse has right to choose, and so far he hasnt said he doesnt want to go home, to his family. actually, is it just me or they really objectify him sometimes? (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 he constantly get confined too, sure sure it is for his protection, but originally it is bc he is literally a hostage. but for whatever reason confinement is red flag, although it is normal for political reason, but maybe that's why you don't make true friends using politic. this story make me feel fluff and red flag at the same time

if this isnt a fluff story even a kind prince in that situation wouldnt be able to trust anyone in the other nation who take him as hostage. and you know what, i need to squint my eyes but sometimes there are hints that jesse doesnt trust them with his safety even until now. except he is still too kind.

I thought the mc is a pushover then the red girl voiced my thoughts, and his answer was so mature. well he is still too kind imo

if i need to be this kind to be adored by characters (if i got isekai), i kinda rather not. it is exhausting and i wont be genuine

beside, ik it's normal for isekai story to have passive mc who has no main goal, but this was frustrating. finally after 60+ mc began to be a bit more active. ik he wants to go home, but does he ever move with this goal in mind? it was pretty much slice of life bits with sprinkle of action. sometimes story for girls/women are like this.

if this was a shounen or action story, mc would have tried to seek and collect those unique items that can grant wishes in order to go home. he could secretly went to information guild (very commom plot point), finding way to get doppleganger to move around etc, which is cliche

i didnt's say which one is better, but tbh having some sort of direction that mc explicitly declared would be good. at first it was great when mc tried to read books and mags but those info and knowkledge arent as useful as expected, he didnt even know the value of money after all that reading.

overall this is friendship and fluff first kind of story

the reason why i dont read much modern is bc i cant help to compare my life
it took a long time for me to graduate because of mental health
and even if i finally graduate is it weird that i dont feel proud? ( i am just glad it ended) because it is embarassing when people know how long it took me. and when they asked why, i cant say it is because of mental health bc what kind of employer want someone with a history like that. idk in my head it is better to only be high school graduate than someone going to college with a record.

Coco created a topic of Mao

I'm amazed at how author able to make these characters run around in circle for so long without making it boring.
there are just too many characters that need to be informed individually, or talk to each other face-to-face and one-to-one, the chapters are never enough.

only thing started to iritate me is yurako, i get that her priority is mao, she is so consistent there should be nothing weird about it. but she is a bit too jarring at the moment. like, you are immortal and pretty now why feeling hung up on one man who never look at you, girlie you can do better and get a life. her circumstances are a bit different so she should have more freedom but she just stayed around and muddled the plot. at least try to stay evil, why playing a victim. her position in the current plot is just so weird that i feel like nanoka also dont know what to do with her.

Coco created a topic of Irregular Empress

i am just started reading this amazing read

at first the prince's previous ex fiance just fade in the background, but later it brought up again in beautiful way. i mean i like how the prince has an ex that he thought positively. he is not in love with her but he said they could have made a good family. in this situation as a reader i cant dislike her. she is too pitiful. i like how they just didnt make her insignificant but also not completely female lead's rival. although, thinking about the scene where she was killed by the prince was horrifying. i am so curious how the prince will feel later, def horrible if he find out, or whether he will ever find out.

at first i am still disagree with how he handle things, but after seeing the real evil witch i am more understanding how dangerous a witch in this story is. although that ines girl is kind and gentle she can be used as puppet and slowly lost her humanity, no matter how kind they may try, her end can only be one or two.

it is so weird for ars to call kakyu uncle sob
ars is already a preciuos son to him
he instantly break off from that illusion

am i the only one who dont like some part of the story??

ok maybe i read too fast, so it becomes apparent how they drag out the middle too much just like in korean drama. these two keep pushing and pulling going back and forth between well and unwell (mentally). by the hospital scene when he was about to move, i think their obsession with each other began to get ridiculous. either that or i just think author cant convince me anymore.

dont get me wrong, it is possible for this to happen irl (san the dream power part). but author cant convince me why those dragging out part are necessary, why is it necessary to make them so broken except, well to make some drama.

the beginning part about the bullying was great, the use of dream power is so interesting. the enemies to friends part are so touching, the romance part start to get ridiculous.

tbh i also want to criticize jeongmin (i hope i dont misspel) for some of her judgements, but for fck sake she was only 18 (prolly 17 in international standard) and mentally unwell to booth. so i will only criticize author to make her character developmemt nonexistent, like girl has friends already, home looking better, initially she has a bit more spunk in the beginning... tho i think of it she has always been love brained (example her first crush), so i wished she would grow mentally and became the mature one in the relationship but nope, she kept enabling siyun she was as much toxic as siyun (maybe it was intended to be that way, they were both toxic to each other). so siyun's dad saying siyun should kept seeing her?? that's NOT a cool messege to tell readers that toxic relationship is ok bc two people are too much in love, irl love wont solve all relationship problem. i hope a teen who havent seen world much or someone in toxic relationship wont read this.

also, it is a bit weird that siyun was the one who look mentally so unwell yet he started to change by himself and choose to leave this toxic relationship (seeing psychiatrist do wonder). no one can convince me it is bc of jeongmin, jeongming is the reason but siyun muster up all that motivation by himself. i know how it is to be mentally unwell. and i just see siyun wake up one day seeing himself as monster and wanted to change. so relatable. ok jeongming is probably the mirror and moral compass and the bait or hook, but it will be for nothing if siyun didnt decide and motivated himself. for all this development i see jeongmin as quite passive party. (also i want to give gold medal to his ex crush. he is the true angel.)

but then they choose to be back tgt just feel like invalidating siyun's journey to recovery. i mean they can break up a bit, put some distance then get back tgt later if they want. keep seeing each other isnt the best option. AGAIN this isnt a good moral story. just saying, ok maybe it never intended to be but anyone not in the right mind reading this might get their world view skewed.

so i say what i said.

i'm still reading bc i already invested my time and it feel too late to back down now. i am still curious about how this end anyway. and the beginning is good, so i think i have still sentiment from that time

i really love the female lead, but i am not so sure about the male lead. he is a bit cute but not really standing out.

the body she occupied is a bit extreme... it is not easy to feel comfortable with a woman that had stalked you for 12 years. they made it too easy for others to find her familiar. the female lead also occasionaly did bad decision although she is supposed to hide her identity. the side quest with the mage is quite interesting. they didnt make him seem more depressed after that suicide tho. so i think this isnt a story that you need to be serious about bc all those plot points. as long as you like the female leas enough it is pretty entertaining.

the art style is relatively simple/clean among rofan webtoon, at first i cant see why she is now the most beautiful woman. i think her previous possesed body is more beautiful, the one with long straight brown hair. but you just get used to it.
